The club would like to wish the management team led by Liam Heffernan all the best for the forthcoming campaign. The club would like to thank the committee led by Jim Nagle and featuring Ger Gavin and Eamon Brennan for their efforts in putting this management team together.<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nTeam Managements:<\/strong> The team managements for the junior A, junior B, under-21A and minor A teams will be appointed in due course. The club officers and members of the hurling committee are expected to meet this week to discuss the issue. If you are interested in getting involved with any of the respective management teams please make contact with any officer of the club.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Awards:<\/strong> The North Tipperary GAA Board has named Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g as club of the year for 2014, D\u00e1ire Quinn has also been named senior hurler of the year and Alan Kelly has been named junior A hurler of the year. Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g has won the North Tipperary Club of the Year award on four previous occasions &#8211; 1979, 1989, 1992 &#038; 2009. The club is also thrilled and proud to see players D\u00e1ire Quinn and Alan Kelly honoured in such a manner. The presentation ceremony to the Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g club, D\u00e1ire Quinn and Alan Kelly will take place in the MacDonagh Park Complex, Nenagh on Friday, January 16th at 8pm. Club chairman Jim Nagle has appealed to supporters of the Blues to come out and show their support for the club on the night. For more details on the awards please see the club <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nenagheireog.com\/index.php\/north-board-honours-nenagh-eire-og-daire-quinn-and-alan-kelly-with-annual-awards\/\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Healthy Club Project:<\/strong> The Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g Healthy Club Project team, in partnership with SOS (Suicide or Survive), will host a one-day Wellness Workshop which aims to help people understand, take charge of and responsibility for their own mental health &#8211; this workshop, which will be delivered by SOS, takes place on Thursday, January 29th in the Business Innovation Centre on Stafford Street, Nenagh. The workshop is free of charge to participants and will be of benefit to anyone who is interested in mental health and wellness. Participants will be facilitated by people with both lived life experience of mental health difficulties and people with experience of working in the mental health area. Personal testimony will be combined with practical tools and tips that you can use in your everyday life to improve your own wellness. The workshop will examine our thinking process, the wellness continuum, mindfulness, personality traits and the \u2018wheel of change\u2019. This is all done in a very interactive non-intrusive and fun way. Areas covered on the day include relaxation and stress management, understanding the relationship between thoughts and emotions, developing a wellness toolkit and daily plan. Tickets are priced at \u20ac40 for a four-course dinner (\u20ac350 for a table of ten). This promises to be a great club occasion as we honour our victorious 2014 teams and look forward to the 2015 season. All welcome.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Condolences:<\/strong> The Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g club would like to extend its sympathies to the family and friends of Pearse O\u2019Brien who passed away recently. Pearse is a former player with the club and will be sadly missed. In honour of Pearse the Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g performed a joint guard of honour alongside Nenagh Celtic at the funeral mass on Friday, January 2nd. Ar dheis D\u00e9 go raibh a anam.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mass:<\/strong> There will be will be a month\u2019s mind mass for Patrick \u2018Devere\u2019 Reynolds on Saturday, January 10th at 6.15pm in St Mary\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p><center><strong>\u201cRichie Flannery, in the 2006 county final programme, was asked what did the club mean to him and he just said \u2018everything\u2019. It was one word and it says a lot. That says a lot in many ways. The club means everything as such. This club means everything to me. I fell on my feet when I joined \u00c9ire \u00d3g. The cost of membership is priced at \u20ac25.<\/p>\n<p><strong>VOLUNTEER APPEAL<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In 2014 Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g catered for over 400 active members (170 juvenile, 225 adult) and in 2015 we hope to grow that number. Crucially, however, we are not simply interested in developing our playing population. We are also interested in attracting volunteers who are interested in becoming coaches with the club and administrators of the club. <\/p>\n<p>Here at \u00c9ire \u00d3g we appreciate that not everyone can train a team, that not everyone is interested in coaching and that not everyone has time to attend committee meetings. That said there are plenty of very practical ways in which you can help your club work hard for the betterment of the local community, our children and our cultural heritage. <\/p>\n<p>We therefore encourage anyone in the community who supports the club and who is prepared to give of their time on a voluntary basis to get involved so that fresh faces can bring fresh ideas forward. If you take that brave first step over the threshold, we guarantee that you will not regret it. It was a great win for Sin\u00e9ad and the club. Sin\u00e9ad also competed in the Broadford Tournament at the weekend, but had to retire with an injury in a super under-17 girls singles semi-final, again, against Ella Donnellan.<\/p>\n<p>Good luck to Cameron Spillane who will compete in the under-14 boys singles north semi-final following his recent win over Ballina opposition.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CAMOGIE<\/p>\n<p>Registration Night:<\/strong> Our registration night is on Friday, January 23rd between 6pm and 8pm in the clubhouse. All welcome.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sympathies:<\/strong> We were all deeply saddened to learn of the untimely death of Pearse O\u2019Brien last week who hurled for the club from juvenile up to junior B until he emigrated to Australia two years ago. Pearse was a very popular young man who had a gift for bringing a smile to people&#8217;s faces. We extend our sympathies to his sister R\u00f3is\u00edn who played Camogie with us for many years and to the O\u2019Brien family, his relations and large circle of friends.
