With eighteen minutes to play Burgess led 0-7 to 0-6, but the Blues dominated thereafter and hit eight points without reply to land the Frank McGrath Cup. With eighteen minutes to play Burgess led 0-7 to 0-6, but the Blues dominated thereafter and hit eight points without reply to land the Frank McGrath Cup. John Brennan was named man of the match in the wake of the final while captain Noel Maloney collected the Frank McGrath Cup from North Board chairman John \u2018Rocky\u2019 McGrath. <\/p>\n<p>Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g would like to thank the senior panel for the terrific manner in which they have represented the club, themselves and their families this year. Our thanks also go to the management team of Liam Heffernan (manager), John Fitzgerald (coach), Enda Costello (selector) and Noel Coffey (selector) for leading this panel of players to the Blues\u2019 ninth north Tipperary senior hurling title. <\/p>\n<p>Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g would like to wish Burgess all the very best in the county senior hurling championship. \u00c9ire \u00d3g are not expected to return to action in the county championship until the week-ending October 12th. In the last sixteen \u00c9ire \u00d3g will face a Roinn I group runner-up. Please keep a close eye on the club website and on the club\u2019s various social media channels for all the latest updates on fixtures and results.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Junior B:<\/strong> Conor Ryan\u2019s junior B hurlers are expected to be in quarter-final action against Toomevara on the week-ending September 21st. The other quarter-final involves Kildangan and Newport while group winners Lorrha and Portroe have already progressed to the semi-final stage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fixtures:<\/strong> Please keep a close eye on the club website and on the club\u2019s various social media channels for all the latest updates on fixtures and results.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Special Train:<\/strong> Nenagh Rail Community Partnership has organised for a special train to take Tipperary fans to the All-Ireland hurling final in Croke Park on Saturday, September 27th. The train will leave Birdhill at 11.50am and stop at Nenagh at 12.16pm and Roscrea at 1pm, before travelling to Heuston station arriving at 2.30pm. It will return from Heuston Station at 8.40pm. The service will run direct and there will be no change at Ballybrophy. Fans will be able to buy their tickets online at www.irishrail.ie for \u20ac13.99 each way.<\/p>\n<p><strong>LOTTO<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This week\u2019s lotto jackpot of \u20ac1,500 was not won. Training on Wednesday only this week due to All-Ireland replay taking place on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Under-13:<\/strong> Our under-13 hurlers travelled to Toomevara on Friday evening last for the third round of the league. The Blues held a three-point lead at half-time, but Toome got back in to the game early in the second half with three points of their own. However, two Barry Coffey goals sealed victory for \u00c9ire \u00d3g in the second half. It finished 2-6 to 1-4. We play our final group game against Borris-Ileigh on Friday evening in Nenagh.
