For a report on this contest please see click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nenagheireog.com\/index.php\/nenagh-eire-og-through-to-north-tipperary-quarter-finals\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>. That result propelled the Blues into the last eight of the competition &#8211; in the quarter-finals Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g were drawn to face defending champions Kildangan. The remaining quarter-finals will see Kilruane MacDonagh\u2019s face Portroe or Ballina, Toomevara take on Borris-Ileigh and Burgess battle it out with Moneygall. These clashes are now not expected to take place until the weekend of July 6th at the earliest.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Junior B:<\/strong> Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g\u2019s North Tipperary Junior B Hurling League semi-final against Lorrha-Dorrha on Friday night ended in controversy. Although the Blues felt that our junior B team had won the game referee Martin O\u2019Shea declared Lorrha-Dorrha one-point winners of the contest. The club would like to wish Lorrha-Dorrha all the very best of luck in the league final. The club would also like to thank the junior B panel of players for an excellent campaign and for the manner in which they represented themselves and the club. The team, led by manager Conor Ryan, will now focus their attention on the up-coming championship which is expected to start on the week-ending June 22nd.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tipperary Clubs Draw:<\/strong> It is that time of year again when we ask everyone associated with the club to support the Tipperary GAA clubs draw. With over \u20ac500,000 in prizes this year including twenty-four cars, thirty Lotto jackpots and many cash prizes, this draw is the ideal mechanism for supporting the club\u2019s activities &#8211; fifty per cent of the draw money comes back directly to the club. Whether you are a new member or have been a member of the draw for a number of years everyone associated with the club really values and appreciates your support. They played Portroe on Monday and on Wednesday they made the short trip to Dolla to take on Silvermines. Thanks to all three clubs for their hospitality and the games. This team are also due to play a blitz in Kildangan on Saturday, June 21st. <\/p>\n<p><strong>F\u00e9ile na nGael:<\/strong> The F\u00e9ile na nGael is fixed for the weekend of June 22nd in Kilkenny and it is an event we are really looking forward to after having a wonderful time in Killeedy, Limerick last year. Preparations continue for this team and the management will be in touch with the players with details of training. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Cumann na mBunscol:<\/strong> Best wishes to St Mary&#8217;s GNS who are contesting the county finals at both the under-11 and under-13 grade. The under-11s play their final against Boherlahan on Tuesday, June 17th at 4pm while the under-13s face the same opposition at 5:40pm on June 18th. Both games will take place in Semple Stadium, Thurles. Thanks again to all the teachers and the coaches in the school who so generously volunteer their free time to promote and coach Camogie. Their hard work has been an enormous factor in the growth of Camogie in our town in recent years. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Bag Packing:<\/strong> We will be bag packing in Dunnes Stores on Friday, July 18th. Thanks to our hosts. A great day was had by all in a well organised event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Under-12:<\/strong> Both groups of under-12 hurlers played away to Toome last Wednesday. Group D put up a good fight, but Toome ran out winners. Group A had a very competitive match with \u00c9ire \u00d3g winning on a scoreline of 4-8 to 2-6. This week the group A hurlers travel to Puckane to play Kildangan while the group D hurlers are away to Newport. Check www.nenagheireog.com for fixture details.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Under-14:<\/strong> Our under-14 hurlers travelled to Thurles to play D\u00farlas \u00d3g in a challenge on Saturday last. The game ended all square. We welcome Moycarkey-Borris to MacDonagh Park for a challenge game this week. Training continues on Monday and Saturday in preparation for our first championship match on June 25th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Primary Game:<\/strong> Congratulations to Se\u00e1n Phelan who has been selected to play on the Tipperary Primary Game football team at half-time in the Tipperary v Cork Munster semi-final at P\u00e1irc U\u00ed Chaoimh on June 21st.<\/p>\n<p><strong>10K Run:<\/strong> Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g Juvenile Club will hold an AAI-approved 10K Run and 5K Run and Family Walk on Sunday, June 15th starting at MacDonagh Park at 10.30am. Check website and Facebook for details. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Family Walk:<\/strong> There will be a family walk held in conjunction with our 10K run on Sunday, June 15th. The walk will start at 11am and cost is \u20ac5 per family. There will be treats and a quiz along the way with prizes for the lucky winners. We ask all our juveniles and their families to support the club and take part in what should be a fun morning for the boys and girls. There will be more details from team management. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Primary:<\/strong> On Thursday, May 5th St. Joseph&#8217;s CBS Primary School took on Gaelscoil Aonach Urmhumhan in the inaugural Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g Town Primary Schools tournament at MacDonagh Park, Nenagh. In the under -11 encounter the CBS ran out winners and they followed up this feat by capturing the under-13 title also. This game was a thriller and it took an extra-time goal by Diogo Marques to separate the sides.
