SENIOR<\/strong><\/p>\n

Senior: \u00c9ire \u00d3g made a winning start to their Hibernian Inn North Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship campaign when they beat Templederry by ten points at Cloughjordan on Sunday evening – Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g 2-18 Templederry Kenyons 1-11. The Blues will have to wait until the concluding four games in the opening round of the competition are played this coming weekend before a draw will take place for the second round which is scheduled to take place on the week ending June 8th.<\/p>\n

Junior B:<\/strong> The junior Bs return to action next Saturday, May 17th when Conor Ryan\u2019s men face Toomevara in Toomevara at 7pm. This is a vital North Tipperary Junior B Hurling League clash for the lads and your support would be appreciated.<\/p>\n

Junior A:<\/strong> Following their recent defeat to Roscrea (1-11 to 2-13) the junior A hurlers are expected to return to action on Saturday, May 24th when they face Burgess in the north Tipperary league at 7pm in Kilcolman.<\/p>\n

The Blues\u2019 10K Run:<\/strong> The Blues\u2019 10K Run, which has been approved by the Athletic Association of Ireland, is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 15th at 10.30am – the event will also include a 5K fun run and family walk. Please click here<\/a> for more details.<\/p>\n

Tipperary GAA clubs Draw:<\/strong> It is that time of year again when we ask all Blues to support the Tipperary GAA clubs draw. The prizes this year include twenty-four cars, thirty Lotto jackpots and many cash prizes. Please remember that 50% of your subscription to the draw comes back to the Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g – these funds are vital to the running of the club.<\/p>\n

Fantasy Football:<\/strong> The Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g Fantasy Football League came to an end on Sunday with, ironically enough, a Toomevara man Damien O\u2019Meara taking the honours with 2,403 points. Well done to Damien. Second was Paul Burke (2,316), third Mark Flannery (2,309), fourth Denis Ryan (2,309), fifth Noel Maloney (2,296), sixth David Burke (2,264), seventh Eddie Darcy (2,243), eighth Dean Ray (2,237), ninth Jimmy Henry (2,235), tenth Brian McDonnell (2,223).<\/p>\n

THE BLUES\u2019 10K RUN<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Blues\u2019 10K Run, which has been approved by the Athletic Association of Ireland, is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 15th at 10.30am – the event will also include a 5K fun run and family walk.<\/p>\n

The run will commence at MacDonagh Park, Nenagh – the cost to entry for the 10K run is priced at \u20ac15 (\u20ac12 pre-registered). Entry for the 5K run is priced at \u20ac10 while the entry fee for walkers is priced at \u20ac5 per family.

\nRegistration for the event will take place between 9am and 10am on the morning of the event on Sunday, June 15th.<\/p>\n

Prizes: 10K Run – \u20ac100 first place male and female; \u20ac50 second placed male and female; \u20ac25 third placed male and female. Prizes 5k Run – \u20ac25 first placed male and female. Spot prizes for runners and walkers.<\/p>\n

Pre-registration takes place on Wednesday, June 11th (5pm to 7pm) at the MacDonagh Park complex. Car parking will be available on site.<\/p>\n

Under-12: <\/strong>The under-12 team have qualified for the plate semi-final – there are no details of this fixture yet.<\/p>\n

Community Games:<\/strong> We are playing Roscrea this week in Roscrea – there are no other details of this game at the time of going to press.<\/p>\n

F\u00e9ile na nGael:<\/strong> The F\u00e9ile na nGael is fixed for Sunday, June 22nd in Kilkenny.<\/p>\n

Under-14:<\/strong> The under-14s beat Ballina last Thursday by two points on a scoreline of 3-5 to 3-3. We meet Newport-Ballinahinch in the final. Best of luck ladies!<\/p>\n

Tipperary:<\/strong> Hard luck to Alanna Morris, Rachel Maher and the Tipperary under-18 team who lost the Munster final to Cork on Sunday.<\/p>\n

JUVENILE<\/strong>\"Roger<\/p>\n

Congratulations:<\/strong> Best wishes to Conor Bonar, Jake Morris and Mark O\u2019Farrell (pictured right) who were members of the North Tipperary under-15 divisional hurling team which won the Roger Ryan Cup in Toomevara last week. Well done lads!<\/p>\n

On the May Bank Holiday Monday North Tipperary ended a three-year wait to capture the inter-divisional under-15 Roger Ryan Memorial Tournament for the second time when defeating West Tipperary 1-9 to 0-6 in the final played in Toomevara. In the semi-final North Tipperary defeat Mid Tipperary 1-15 to 1-6.<\/p>\n

Under-14:<\/strong> Hurling and football training continues this week. Under-14 North football final against Inane Rovers has a provisional date of Saturday, May 24th. As most of you are aware the club, under the expert guidance of PJ Maxwell, Nancy Murphy and Donal A Murphy, are putting the finishing touches to our club history book. This promises to be a comprehensive collection of the history of Gaelic games in our parish.<\/p>\n

While the club have made every effort to collect photographs of teams from the present to the distant past and other pictures which would be of interest we appeal to people to get in touch if you have a photograph of interest in your possession.<\/p>\n

Please do not assume that we already possess your photograph or that it is of no interest.<\/p>\n

Every \u00c9ire \u00d3g photo, whether it is of a team, presentation or action shot is of massive importance to us and we would be delighted to have it. We are also anxious to get photos of school teams from any of the schools in the community.<\/p>\n
