The Michael Ferncombe-coached Clonoulty-Rossmore are among the favourites to win the Dan Breen Cup this year. So, we appeal to all Blues to come out on Sunday evening and support the lads. For a detailed breakdown of the structure of this year\u2019s championship please click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nenagheireog.com\/index.php\/the-2014-county-senior-hurling-championship-draw-in-full\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Junior A:<\/strong> Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g drew with Knockshegowna (0-10 apiece) in a well-contest North Tipperary Junior A League clash at MacDonagh Park, Nenagh on Saturday evening. In greasy conditions Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g battled gamely against Knockshegowna (the 2013 North Tipperary Junior A champions), but there was nothing to separate the sides at referee TP Sullivan\u2019s final whistle. The cost of membership is priced at \u20ac25.<\/p>\n<p>Help us to make the dreams of our players come true!<\/p>\n<p><strong>JUVENILE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Under-6 &#038; Under-8:<\/strong> Training is on Wednesdays from 5.15pm to 6.15pm and Saturdays from 10am to 11am.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Under-10:<\/strong> Training is on Wednesdays from 5.30pm to 6.30pm and Saturdays from 10am to 11am. Please bring gumshields as there will also be football training.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Under-12 Football:<\/strong> Our under-12 group A team put in a valiant performance, but lost out to a strong Kilruane side on Friday evening. Our group D team, also against Kilruane, enjoyed their second win of their campaign. Both teams play Toomevara on Friday, April 11th in Toome &#8211; details at training which continues on Mondays at 5.30pm and Wednesdays at 6.30pm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Under-14:<\/strong> The under-14 footballers started their championship campaign with a comprehensive win over Kildangan on Wednesday night. Cian O&#8217;Farrell gave a man-of-the-match performance at midfield, but unfortunately had to retire with a hamstring injury late on in the game. On Saturday last we contested the North Tipperary F\u00e9ile Peil na n\u00d3g final against Inane Rovers. The Roscrea men came out on top after dominating the second half. The lads fought to the very end with heroic displays from Eoghan Tinkler in goal and Liam Heffernan at full-back. We play Toomevara in the next round of the football championship on Wednesday, April 9th in Toome while attention turns to the hurling on Saturday when we play Kildangan in the F\u00e9ile na nGael quarter-final in Puckane &#8211; further details at training.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Under-16 Football:<\/strong> Our under-16 footballers put up a spirited display against Kilruane on Saturday evening last in Nenagh to earn themselves their first win of the campaign. Under harsh conditions it went right to the wire with Nenagh winning by a single point on a 2-13 to 3-9 scoreline. It was a terrific team effort with strong performances all over the field including some super points from Adam Healy and great fight shown on the wing by Liam Maher. Keep up the hard work in training lads.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Membership:<\/strong> All outstanding memberships should be paid immediately. For insurance purposes unregistered juveniles cannot play matches.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NENAGH HANDBALL CLUB<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Well done to Eoin Meagher who progressed through the premier rounds of the Irish Junior Nationals last weekend. He will be joined in the next round by clubmates Meaghan Morris and Anna O\u2019Keeffe (Youghalarra) in the Girls Under-11 Doubles, Katie Morris (Girls Under-13 Singles), Eimear Meagher (Girls Under-15B Singles) and Sin\u00e9ad Meagher (Girls Under-15A Singles). Please support this year&#8217;s fundraiser!<\/em><\/center><\/p>\n<p><strong>CAMOGIE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Junior:<\/strong> Our Junior team played Lorrha-Dorrha in an entertaining match in Lorrha on Sunday last. We put up a credible display against last year\u2019s beaten county finalists and we took a lot of positives from the match. The final score was 2-8 to 1-5 with Aislinn O\u2019Brien scoring our goal. There were excellent performances throughout the field with Saoirse Gleeson, Rachel Maher, Zoey Gratton, Julie Moylan and Rachel Spillane all having fine games. We are playing Silvermines next weekend in Nenagh in the next round. Details of this fixture have yet to be finalised. Both teams were a credit to their respective clubs and we wish Silvermines the very best of luck for the remainder of this competition. We also played Ballina on Tuesday last in the opening round of the championship and were on the receiving end of a seven-point defeat. Our next game is Tuesday night at 6pm against \u00c9ire \u00d3g Annacarty. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Civic Reception:<\/strong> On Friday, April 25th our minor and juniors teams from 2013 will be honoured with a civic reception to acknowledge their wonderful achievements with both teams capturing county championship honours. This promises to be a comprehensive collection of the history of Gaelic games in our parish. <\/p>\n<p>While the club have made every effort to collect photographs of teams from the present to the distant past and other pictures which would be of interest we appeal to people to get in touch if you have a photograph of interest in your possession. <\/p>\n<p>Please do not assume that we already possess your photograph or that it is of no interest. <\/p>\n<p>Every \u00c9ire \u00d3g photo, whether it is of a team, presentation or action shot is of massive importance to us and we would be delighted to have it.
