Four Nenagh Players on Tipperary Star’s Team of the Year<\/h2>\n
<\/div>\n

Enda Treacy, journalist with the Tipperary Star, published his Club Team of the Year at the conclusion of the Tipperary senior hurling championship and he included four Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g players, brothers Barry and Michael Heffernan as well as Mason Cawley and Jake Morris. <\/p>\n

Under-15 Camogie Semi Final<\/h2>\n

Commiserations to our under-15 cam\u00f3gs, who were defeated by Slieve Felim Rapparees, 5-6 to 0-0, in the county semi-final played in MacDonagh Park on Sunday. We wish to thank the management and the panel of players for all their hard work throughout the year.<\/p>\n

Minor A Football County Semi-Final<\/strong>

This weekend, Nenagh faced Aherlow GAA Club in the minor A county semi-final. It wasn\u2019t to be for the Nenagh boys, as Aherlow ran out convincing winners, 5-17 to 1-10.

<\/div>
The result brings an end to \u00c9ire \u00d3g\u2019s minor football campaign for 2025. The boys can still celebrate being North Tipperary minor A football champions.
<\/div>
Thanks to all involved with the team and to the loyal supporters who backed the boys all season.

Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g Meet and Train Group Eye Global Glory After Conquering \u201cWorld\u2019s Toughest\u201d Trail as Costello Oil Announce Generous Sponsorship<\/strong>

Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g\u2019s indefatigable Meet and Train Group brought their November 5X5 Parkrun challenge to a triumphant close on Saturday morning when they tackled the legendary Knockanacree Woods Parkrun in Cloughjordan. The trail, ranked the third hardest Parkrun in the world by BBC Countryfile magazine, did little to deter the group who approached the task with the quiet determination of seasoned mountaineers and the optimism of people who had not yet examined the elevation profile.
<\/div><\/h3>\n


A warm word of thanks must go to the Knockanacree Woods Parkrun team for their generous welcome and for not warning the group too loudly about the hills.

<\/div>
Having survived the course with only minor emotional scarring, the athletes retired to the Middle Country Cafe where they restored their spirits with a well-deserved breakfast. It was here, amid the clatter of cutlery and the aroma of fresh coffee, that the morning took an extraordinary turn.

In a moment of magnanimous flair befitting a man of considerable stature, Enda Costello announced a new sponsorship arrangement for the group. Costello Oil, in what experts are already calling one of the most generous gestures since sponsorship was invented, has agreed to cover the travel and accommodation costs for the group to visit the other four Parkruns identified by BBC Countryfile. These far-flung destinations include New Zealand, South Africa and two courses in Australia, each expected to be only marginally more terrifying than Knockanacree\u2019s infamous inclines.
<\/div>
While the total cost of this globe-trotting odyssey may scarcely register as loose change in Enda\u2019s pockets, the gesture was nonetheless received with the kind of unrestrained joy usually reserved for jackpot wins and unexpected snow days.

A special thank you must also go to Deirdre N\u00ed Loingsigh, whose organisation of the 5×5 challenge kept the group moving, motivated and occasionally muttering under their breath over the last month.

The group has accepted the offer with gusto and is now believed to be pricing sunscreen, plug adapters and motivational quotes for long-haul flights. Bibs Blasted Despite Hutchinson Magic in Eleven-Goal Epic<\/h2>\n

An intriguing 30-minute clash of social ground hurling lit up the Astro last weekas the three-player bibs took on the four-player non-bibs in a free-flowing contest packed with goals and drama.<\/h3>\n

The non-bibs eventually edged a pulsating encounter 11\u20138, but only after both sides traded hat-tricks with abandon.
<\/div>
Top scorer on the night was the bibs\u2019 Mick Hutchinson who produced a sensational double hat-trick, tormenting defenders every time the sliotar came his way.
<\/div>
The non-bibs spread their firepower around, with Tom Bourke hitting a hat-trick plus two, while teammates Conor Hayes and Jamie \u201ccartwheel\u201d Kennedy also rattled in hat-tricks of their own to keep the scoreboard ticking.
<\/div>
John Phelan set the tone early, finishing coolly after a sharp, slick Mick trick flick, and he rounded off the night with a tidy brace.
<\/div>
Although neither Eamon Moylan nor his non-bibs counterpart Conor O\u2019Donovan found the target, both put in tireless defensive shifts and were consistently to the front for their sides.
<\/div>
The standout moment came from Hutchinson once more, doubling on a dropping ball mid-air to unleash a screamer that will be hard to beat for goal of the season.
<\/div>
Attention now turns to the next social hurling session, set for Wednesday night at 8pm.
