Senior sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub goalkeeper Paul Lillis gave a performance for the ages on Sunday morning last in the junior-c clash with Shannon Rovers as he saved shot after shot while simultaneously acting as a sweeper racing out of the goals acting as an out ball for the much relieved defenders before sending pin-point passes into the forwards. Such was his impact on the game that at one stage former Nenagh hurler and Shannon Rovers full forward John Flannery hit Lillis’s hurley a headbutt in an effort to curb his influence on the game but to no avail. Well done Paul.<\/p><\/div>\n

Up and coming young hurler Niall Cahill was in sensational form on Sunday morning against Shannon Rovers in the junior-c match as he covered every blade of game on Thomas MacDonagh’s pitch showing boundless energy and enthusiasm which will have given senior hurling manager Hugh Maloney plenty to ponder over ahead of the county semi-final.
