Senior<\/h3>\n

Our Senior hurlers began their league campaign with a loss to Thurles away, but a win against Clonoulty at home. They now have a break till they play Drom&Inch on the 12th of April.<\/p>\n

The County Senior Hurling Championship groups have also been announced. Nenagh will face Thurles, Mullinahone and Cashel. <\/p>\n

Junior A <\/h3>\n

Our Junior A hurlers came away with a draw against Kiladangan in the first round of the North League. Their next game takes place on the 19th of April against the Silvermines. <\/p>\n

Tipperary <\/h3>\n

The Tipperary Senior hurlers face Cork this weekend in the Allianz NHL Final. Throw in is at 4pm in SuperValu P\u00e1irc U\u00ed Chaoimh. Wishing Jake, Josh and Sam the very best of luck.<\/p>\n

The Tipperary U20\u2019s have started their Munster Championship with a loss to Limerick, but got a win over Cork on Wednesday. As well as hurling senior, Sam O\u2019 Farrell captains the U20 team, and is joined by his Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g teammates Mason Cawley and Jake Donnellan- Houlihan. We wish Sam, Mason and Jake the very best of luck as they continue their campaign.<\/p>\n

The Tipperary Senior Camogie team suffered defeat to Waterford by a point, bringing their league campaign to an end. Best of luck to Grace O\u2019 Brien and the squad as they continue to prepare for Championship. <\/p>\n

U17<\/b><\/p>\n

The U17 County hurling league fixture for this weekend has been changed and won\u2019t be played until the 11th of May. <\/p>\n

U15<\/b><\/p>\n

Our U15 footballers had a great win over Ballina in the first round of the North Championship.<\/p>\n

They have a bye next week.<\/p>\n

U13<\/strong><\/p>\n

The C footballers got the better of Ballina, but the A footballers fell short by 2 points in their respective North Championship games this week. <\/p>\n

Table Quiz<\/b><\/p>\n

Last Friday Night was a terrific evening of quizzing and craic at the annual Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g Juvenile Club table quiz.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to the winners Team Se\u00e1n McTiernan who take home the perpetual table quiz cup yet again.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to the runners up, The Tom’s, Michael and James who rocked home with some amazing wines as their prize.<\/p>\n

Thanks to everyone who came out and supported the event, thanks to those who couldn’t make the quiz but sent in contributions, thanks to those who donated spot prizes, thanks to those who helped out and thanks to Joe & the crew at Andys Gastro Pub Bed & Breakfast Nenagh.<\/p>\n

As ever, the pivotal figure that makes this event the resounding success it is every year, the one and only Mel Gleeson, thanks to Mel for consistently delivering at organising and MC’ing this event.<\/p>\n

Half of the profits will be donated to Milford Hospice Limerick in honour of our late colleague Rory.<\/p>\n

Easter Camp<\/b><\/p>\n

We will be running our Easter Camp from April 15th to 17th inclusive, 10am to 1pm daily. For further details on the camp see the promotional flyer.<\/p>\n

The Easter Camp will consist of Gaelic Games activities and will cost \u20ac40 per child with all proceeds going to fund our in-schools Gaelic Games coaching programme.<\/p>\n

We are excited to see all the children at the camp, we welcome any non club members also, so bring your neighbours, friends or cousins along to enjoy the fun and games.<\/p>\n

Camogie Notes <\/h3>\n

Intermediate <\/h3>\n

The Intermediate Camogie team travelled to Newport on Saturday morning<\/span> last to play the 2nd round of the League against Newport\/Ballinahinch. <\/p>\n

Newport settled quicker and had some good interchanges to pick off some early scores. The Nenagh girls got their game going however and, playing with the wind in the first half, we began to work the ball well into the full forward line, who held it up well. Two well-worked goals, finished to the net by Sarah Quigley and Megan Grace saw the girls lead at half time 2-3 to 0-6.<\/span><\/p>\n

Facing into a strengthening wind, our backs and midfield excelled in the second half, keeping Newport forwards to only scoring from frees. At the other end, a long range free from Rachel Maher was deflected to the Newport net. Another point was added and our backs held firm to win by 2 points.<\/span><\/p>\n

Final score Newport\/Ballinahinch 0-11 Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g 3-4.<\/span><\/p>\n

The next league game is at home to Kilruane McDonaghs on Saturday April 19th at 6pm<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

U16 <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The girls played Slieve Felim in McDonagh Park on Monday putting in a very strong performance in the final group match of the county A league. Final score Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g 3-18 Slieve Felim Raperees 0-9. <\/span><\/p>\n
