Best of luck to all involved as we look forward to a Summer of hurling.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Junior A&nbsp;<\/h3>\n<p>Our Junior A\u2019s begin their North Championship campaign tomorrow against Toomevara in Borrisoleigh. Throw in is at 7.30pm. The games will take place every Friday evening for the next 6-7 weeks. Both our teams gave a great account of themselves against hosts St Sylvester\u2019s, St Brigids (Antrim), Gaultier (Waterford), Burren (Down), St Colmcilles (Meath), Na Fianna (Dublin) and Dunboyne (Meath).&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The event had a huge spread of clubs from around the country with&nbsp;match&nbsp;experience that hopefully will stand to the boys going forward. Some fantastic wins and great efforts all round. Lots of positives and lots to work on as always.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Plenty of tired bodies afterwards. The boys got some well earned refreshments in Supermac\u2019s on the way home in Portlaoise Plaza.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">A huge thanks to Simon, Aidan and all the organising committee up in St Sylvester\u2019s for organising a fantastically run event. All the girls played three games each and had a great time. The girls put up a great fight and were only one score behind at halftime before Toomevara eventually pulled away in the second half.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Our Blue team played Kiladangan and again even though the result did not go our way the girls gave a good account of themselves. Two more games for the girls this week against Borrisoleigh and Lorrha.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>U14<\/b>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We played away to Holycross Ballycahill last Thursday evening in their championship quarter final. They were just 0-4 to 0-3 up at half time and faced into a strong wind in the second half.<\/p>\n<p>Despite sustaining serious pressure upfront, including two penalties, they came away with a win 2-4 to 0-4. There were some super performances all around the park but special mention must go to Lucyanne Cleary who scored 1-3 and goalkeeper Naoise Kelly who saved at least three clear goal chances including a penalty late in the second half.
