Tipperary Clubs Draw<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/div>\n

The first draw in the 2023\/24 Tipperary Clubs draw will be held on this Fri 25th<\/sup> August. Our promoters will be contacting all existing members this week – our thanks to everyone who has supported this draw in the past and we look forward to your support in the new draw.<\/p>\n

We are always looking for new members so if you would like to join this great draw with great prizes, please contact Catherine Kennedy at 086 1996643 or any senior, juvenile or camogie club officer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cairde Na Gormacha –  Friends of the Blues – this is a syndicate add on to the draw, it is not intended to replace or offer a cheaper alternative. To join the syndicate you must already be a full member of the Tipperary draw in your own right.<\/div>\n

We will play Mullinahone in Round 3 of the Co Championship, this game has been fixed for Sunday next, 27th August at 2pm in Templetuohy.<\/p>\n

A win or draw in this game will see us take second place in the group with Drom already topping the group.<\/p>\n

Junior Hurling<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Hard luck to our Junior As lost out to Ballinahinch in the North Junior semi-final on Fri last. This brings to an end our involvement in the junior championship \u2013 thanks to our management team and all players who togged out for the juniors during the year.<\/p>\n

U19 Hurling<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Our U19s will play Toomevara in the North semi final on Wed 30th<\/sup> August at 7pm in MacDonagh Park.<\/p>\n

There was no winner of this week’s lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 14, 18, 23 & 30<\/p>\n

    Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g\/GAA Injury Policy<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

    The GAA recently issued their 2023 GAA Injury Benefit Fund summary document outlining the terms and benefits of the Fund. <\/span>This cover is effective from June 1st 2023 to 31st May 2024.<\/p>\n

    To supplement this document Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g have issued a summary of this document and also the Club’s policy for players who are part time and seasonal workers.<\/p>\n

    Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g Summer Camp<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

    The 2023 Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g Summer Camp <\/strong>took place last week and was a tremendous success with the children having a fantastic time playing fun skills games coupled with Gaelic games.<\/p>\n

    What better way to top off a great camp experience than with ice creams for all which were of course thoroughly enjoyed by the children and coaches. <\/p>\n

    Congratulations to Kyle Doran who was the winner of the signed Tipperary Jersey.<\/p>\n

    Thanks to all the coaches who gave up their holidays to volunteer during the camp. Thanks to Niall for co-ordinating the camp – it was a very well run camp, enjoyed by all and a great way to round off the summer holidays.<\/p>\n

    Training continues at 10 am on Saturday mornings at the club grounds. Mid-week training is on Wednesday from 6 to 7. Our Go Games series continues on Tuesday evening in Dr Morris park Thurles. <\/p>\n

    Under 9<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

    Training continues on Tuesday evenings from 6-7.15pm and Saturday mornings from 10-11.15pm. The boys play Kiladangan at 10am next Saturday in Nenagh. <\/p>\n

    We love to see new faces coming along, boys born in 2014\/15 are very welcome to come and give it a try, contact Alan on 087 7518789.<\/p>\n

    Under 11<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

    The boys had a very busy weekend as they travelled to Dublin to take part in a blitz v Ballyboden St Endas and St Vincent’s. The boys played in some very competitive matches and were not found wanting for effort. Thanks to ‘Boden for the wonderful hospitality after the games.<\/p>\n

    The boys then advanced to Croke Park where they were treated to a stadium tour and an opportunity to lift the Liam McCarthy at the podium, who knows, potentially the seed was sown…here’s hoping…. Thanks to all the coaches who organised and looked after the boys so well to ensure they had a day packed with the best memories. <\/p>\n

    This week\u2019s training is Tuesday and Friday at 6 and the boys play Ballina in Ballina on Saturday morning at 12. <\/p>\n

    Under 13 boys had another busy week. Our C team and D team were playing against Borrisokane and Roscrea. On Tuesday in Toomevara our third team played Roscrea’s second team. Both teams showed great skill and determination but Roscrea proved too strong with their ability to get vital scores. The D team now play Kiladangan this week in the plate semi-final – this game is in Puckane on Thursday at 7pm.<\/p>\n

    The C team played Borrisokane in Ballinderry on Wednesday. Borrisokane started well scoring some great points. Our boys were slow to settle but worked their way into the game. Our ability to score goals was the difference in the end, with Robbie O’Brien and James Hynes scoring our goals. The C team now progress to the semi-final playing Ballinahinch in Templederry on Wednesday at 7pm – best of luck to the boys.<\/p>\n

    Our A team played Roscrea on Tuesday in Moneygall in the North semi-final and came away with a good win – they now play Kilruane MacDonaghs in the final, fixture TBC.<\/p>\n

    They then made the long trip to Kilcommon to play Newport, Clonoulty-Rossmore and Slieve Felim in our regional blitz Saturday. Super effort with over 30 girls in action.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    We were defeated in our first round of the FBD Championship this Sunday against a strong Silvermines team. Our team showed considerable resilience and skill throughout but were unlucky towards the latter stages of the game.<\/p>\n

    We look forward to our next round, away against Burgess in Kilcoleman on Sunday 27th August at 2pm.  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
