Co Senior Hurling League<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Our seniors had their first win in the Co SHL with a 7 point win over Toomevara on Sunday last. The score was 1 – 25 to 21 points with Cian Crowley getting the first half goal. The final league game will be against Kilruane MacDonaghs on the weekend of 13th\/14th May in Nenagh.<\/p>\n

Lotto<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

There was no winner of this week’s lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 2, 5, 12 & 23.<\/p>\n

    Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g will play their first game in the Junior B League next weekend. They play Portroe on Sunday evening at 7pm in Portroe.<\/p>\n

    All membership for 2023 should have been paid by the end of March. If you have not already done so please pay this membership ASAP.<\/p>\n

    Two U11 teams who played JK Brackens last weekend<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Our U13D squad played the third of our U13 North Football Finals against Ballina on Wednesday evening.  Despite a good start a physically stronger Ballina team came out on top. Our boys as always showed great courage and plenty of skill and will be back. All the U13 squad were involved in challenge matches against St Joseph’s Doora Barefield on Sunday morning as they prepare for the U13 A county semi final . Training continues Tuesday and Friday.     U13 boys who were defeated by Ballina in last week’s U13D North Football Final.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Well done to our U15 boys who won the F\u00e9ile Peil Division 2 final in Dr. Morris park on Monday last. The boys defeated Mullinahone in the final on a scoreline of 4 – 4 to 1 – 7. <\/p>\n

    Regarding the F\u00e9ile games held in Nenagh on Saturday last, thanks to all the parents who provided food and to those that helped in the hall, very much appreciated by the management and the players. <\/p>\n

    On Thursday next this group will play in the football North final v Ballina in Cloughjordan 6:45, wishing the boys the very best of luck. <\/p>\n

    Well done to Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g boys Jack Hogan, Eanna Tucker, James Heffernan, Daniel Moylan & Sennan O’Farrell on their Rice Cup quarter final win over Our Lady’s Templemore 2-12 to 2-10. Best wishes for the next round. <\/p>\n

    Foireann – Membership<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

    All camogie players must now be fully registered or they will be unable to attend matches or training. It is compulsory that all players be registered for Insurance purposes.
    \nWe will be hosting a Foireann registration support hour Monday 6-7pm in the clubhouse for anyone with difficulties. Please come see us if your child is not registered.<\/p>\n

    Navy played Holycross during the week and gave a good account of themselves.

    Under 14 <\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

    Team 1 played their final group game away to Cahir last Monday evening. After a stilted 1st half, we clicked into gear in the 2nd and went on to win 1-10 to 0-7. This win puts us into the A semi-final, which is a great achievement for such a small panel. Both u14 teams now await our semi-finals in a couple of weeks time. Training Monday 6pm & Thursday 7pm.<\/p>\n

    Under 16 <\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

    Our u16 girls play Cahir in the u16B league semi-final this week, details tbc. Training Monday at 7pm.<\/p>\n

    Congratulations to Laura Nagle and the U17 Development Team who beat Galway to reach the Munster Final – this will be against Cork in two weeks time.<\/p>\n

    \nWe are holding a raffle for a beautiful 8x6ft Garden Shed on the 20th of May. This secure and sturdy shed will be delivered to the lucky winner’s home. Our players and committee members will be selling lines in the coming weeks.

    Handball<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

    Well done to the Nenagh boys in F\u00e9ile Handball in Abbeyknockmoy at the weekend. <\/div>\n
    The boys travelled in hope more than expectation as they were always going to be up against it, playing an u15 competition with two u13 boys. But the lads gave a great account of themselves. <\/div>\n
    Shane Gleeson and Eoin Hannon just came up short in their first game vs Carrickmore of Tyrone, losing by a single point on the 15 minute timer 12-11. Next up were Cian Hannon and Karl Boland who gave a great showing against strong opposition. They lost this one 21-12 but this was not an accurate reflection of a close game, with the Nenagh boys leading 11-3 at one stage.<\/div>\n
     <\/div>\n
    After lunch, we faced the table-toppers Abbeyside Dungarvan of Waterford. Our first pairing of Shane and Eoin were overpowered by a very strong Waterford pairing. However in the second game, Cian and Karl played some great handball to lead 12-11 with 10 seconds left on the clock.<\/div>\n
    Unfortunately, the opposition server hit a rasper of a shot into the corner to level the game with time up. It was very unlucky on the 2 lads but a great showing nonetheless. <\/div>\n
    Thanks to our hosts Abbeyknockmoy Handball Club and best of luck to the other teams in the final.<\/div>\n
