Lotto Donation<\/strong><\/p>\n

As part of the Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g Community Friendly Lotto, Josie Mackey, Club Treasurer, recently donated \u20ac500 to locals Mary Sheils and Ciara Kennedy who will be travelling as volunteers to the Special Olympics World games which take place in Berlin in June.<\/p>\n

Mary and Ciara regularly volunteer to help out at these games and have embarked on a fundraising campaign to raise the funds required. Best of luck to the ladies in their endeavours. <\/p>\n

Since our Community Friendly lotto started in June 2020 we have now donated over \u20ac6,000 to local charities.<\/p>\n

    Co Senior Hurling League<\/strong><\/p>\n

    We will play Drom and Inch in Round 3 of the Co SHL on Sunday next at 1pm in MacDonagh Park.<\/p>\n

    All membership for 2023 should have been paid by the end of March. If you have not already done so please pay this membership ASAP.<\/p>\n

     North Junior Leagues<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The draws for groups in the North Junior A and B Leagues were made recently and are as follows:<\/p>\n

    Junior A League – Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g, Kilruane MacDonaghs and Toomevara<\/p>\n

    Junior B League – Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g, Borrisokane, Portroe and Kiladangan.<\/p>\n

    The Junior A League starts on 26th May while the Junior B League starts on 7th May.<\/p>\n

    The draw for the North Senior Championship takes place on this Wednesday, 12th April, in the HiB.<\/p>\n

    Defibs for Life Launch<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The launch and information evening of the new community group, Defibs for life, takes place in the Abbey Court Hotel Nenagh on Thursday April 13th at 8pm. You can sign up here for AED\/CPR training with The Order of Malta and The Red Cross Nenagh branches.<\/div>\n

    The group have a number of events organised to raise funds to provide more life saving defibrillators in the town of Nenagh and surrounds – details of these events on their social media pages.<\/div>\n

    Reminder that if you are doing a Spring clean over the Easter holidays, our club clothing bank, situated inside the gates of MacDonaghPark,  will take bags of clothes, sheets, towels etc. Details below of what you can and cannot put into the clothing bank. <\/p>\n

        Primary Game – Tipperary V Waterford<\/strong><\/p>\n

        Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g U13’s were in Semple Stadium last Sunday supporting Tipperary footballers in their first round Munster football championship game against Waterford.<\/p>\n

        They were also supporting their team mate Ronan Quinn who represented Tipperary at half time in the Cumman na mBunscoil games. The boys got to meet Commercials Se\u00e1n O’Connor after the game who duly obliged with the photo below taken by Enda O’Sullivan.<\/p>\n

        Well done to the boys and the management team on progressing from their group to the knockout stages of the hurling F\u00e9ile on Saturday in Clonoulty.<\/p>\n

        The boys now play Arravale Rovers in the semi final next weekend  – this game will take place on Sunday evening at 6pm in Clonoulty. The winner of this game will play the final at 7pm.<\/p>\n

        Upcoming football fixture is on April 13th when we play Toomevara at 6:30 in MacDonagh Park.<\/p>\n

        We had a marvelous Easter camp last week with our biggest number of children attending a Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g camp yet. Thanks to Niall, Pat, Catherine, P\u00e1uric and all the coaches for their efforts in running one of our best camps yet.<\/p>\n

        We had a very competitive match against a strong Silvermines team in Dolla Friday evening. Despite all the players giving an excellent account of themselves we lost by just two points. We performed brilliantly in the second half and there is little doubt that had the game lasted 10 minutes longer the outcome could have been in our favour.<\/div>\n

                  We had a very successful Easter Camp with 180 children in attendance.
                  \n<\/span>Huge thanks to Niall Cahill for organising the event so well. Special mention must go to our supervisors <\/span>Pat<\/span> McCormack <\/span>& Catherine McTiernan for facilitating the camp, but most of all the Camp Assistants and young \u00c9ire \u00d3g players that ensured the camp was fun and friendly for all the kids.<\/span><\/p>\n
