    U21 Hurling<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Following their four point win over Toomevara in Round One, our U21 hurlers are due to play Roscrea on Sunday next in Roscrea at 12 noon.<\/p>\n

    Development Update<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The preparatory work is now completed on the new field. This has included the removal of all trees and shrubs, the crushing of all the concrete paths and the recovery of all the service ducting and all the electric lamp posts.<\/p>\n

    While the original intention was to have the field prepared and sown by the latest the end of September, this unfortunately did not happen with the recent wet weather intervening. The site is now closed until early spring 2023 when hopefully this phase of the develpment will be completed.<\/p>\n

    Laochra Gael<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Congratulations to Tony Tierney who will receive a Laochra Gael GAA award this year. These awards are presented to honour people over the age of 70 who have given significant service to the GAA in various capacities.<\/p>\n

    Tony played for many years with Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g and was part of both the 1957 and 1964 teams who won North senior championships. He went on to be a selector and coach to teams when his playing days were over.<\/p>\n

    This years awards will be presented in the Dome in Thurles on Nov 27th and we wish Tony and his family every good wish on the day.<\/p>\n

    Well done and best wishes to Jake Morris and Conor McCarthy who are part of the 40 man pre league panel announced by Liam Cahill and his management team recently – full details of the panel below.<\/p>\n

    Best of luck to Nenagh CBS and the Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g representatives on the squad who play Gaelchol\u00e1iste Mhuire AG in Round 3 of the Harty Cup tomorrow, Wednesday 16th Nov. The game takes place at 1.30pm in Hospital, Co Limerick.<\/p>\n
