Junior<\/strong><\/p>\n

Well done to our Junior B hurlers who recorded their first win of the League with a 3 \u2013 13 to 1 – 17 win over Portroe last Saturday evening in MacDonagh Park. David Cleary scored two first half goals with Brian Duffy getting the third just before half time. This was the final group game so next up for this group will be the Junior B Championship which starts on 18th<\/sup> June \u2013 details to follow on this.<\/p>\n

The date for the start of the Junior A Championship is now 3rd<\/sup> June  – the draw for this will take place during the week.<\/p>\n

Lotto<\/strong><\/p>\n

There was ONE<\/strong> winner of this week’s lotto jackpot – Congratulations to John Corbett, 22 Sallygrove who won our biggest ever lotto jackpot of \u20ac10,200. The winning numbers were 2, 7, 11 & 22.<\/p>\n

Next week’s lotto Jackpot will be \u20ac2,100.  As our lotto continues weekly we thank everyone for your continued support of the lotto. If you have not yet joined our lotto or if your ticket has recently expired, please consider signing up again – it is our main fundraiser and contributes enormously to the day to day running of the club.<\/p>\n

Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3gres<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our 2022 \u00d3gres camp continued last Saturday morning, the glorious sunshine was out at Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g making for a fabulous morning for all the new girls and boys to enjoy the camp where the children relished in loads of fun games and obstacle challenges.<\/p>\n

The camp continues at 10am next Saturday morning at the new astro facility in MacDonagh Park Nenagh, it\u2019s not too late to join so we look forward to seeing you there. Camp details for anyone who would like to come along as below:<\/p>\n

Calling all boys born in 2017 and girls born in 2016 or who have turned 5, we would be delighted to see you at our \u00c9ire \u00d3gres camp. \u00d3gres camp begins Saturday 14th of May at 10 am at the new Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g astro facility. The camp will run for four weeks. There will be lots of fun games and activities to start your little ones Saturday mornings off on a great note. Free t- shirt on the last day for all who participate. No hurls or helmets needed. \u20ac10 to register.<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

Under 7<\/strong><\/p>\n

Under 7 boys played their first blitz of the year against Toomevara on Saturday morning in MacDonagh Park. The boys had a great morning’s fun and played brilliantly. Thanks to Toome for making the trip over to Nenagh.<\/p>\n

New players are always welcome, come and have a go. We always like to see new faces so any boys born in the years 2015\/16 please come along on Saturday mornings from 10-11am.  <\/p>\n

Our Under 9 boys made the trip to Templemore on Saturday morning to play JK Bracken’s. Three teams from each club were in action. The boys showed some great skills and determination during the matches. Well done to the boys and coaches, super work!<\/p>\n

Hurling training continues on Saturday morning from 10 to 11 on the outside field. Football training continues on Wednesday evenings from 5.45 to 7 p.m on the outside field. New boys born in 2013 and 2014 are always welcome to join. <\/p>\n

Under 9 teams who played JK Brackens in Templemore at the weekend<\/strong><\/p>\n

Under 11<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our Under 11’s travelled to Dolla on Thursday evening last to play Silvermines. Two teams from each club played two competitive games with the Nenagh boys finishing strongest.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to Ruaidhr\u00ed, Ewan & Pierce from our group who were playing rugby in the Aviva last weekend, well done boys.<\/p>\n

This week training will be football only on Tuesday evening, no training on Friday evening with the Michael Hogan Festival of Football on Saturday. <\/p>\n

The Michael Hogan festival of football details will circulate during the week on the group text, two teams being entered, one team will play in Durlas \u00d3g and one in Cashel.<\/p>\n

New players born in 2011 and 2012 are welcome to come along and give it a try. Contact 0874086439 for more details.<\/p>\n

Please encourage any boys that would like to start football to come along Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Under 13<\/strong><\/p>\n

Under 13 boys played a challenge match v Adare on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

 Training on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday evenings. <\/p>\n

Under 15<\/strong><\/p>\n

With attention now switching to hurling, training continues on Tuesdays from 7-8pm, Thursday evenings at 6pm and Saturday 3 to 4pm.<\/p>\n

Under 17<\/strong><\/p>\n

U17\/19 training continues every Monday and Wednesday at 6.50 pm. The boys played Roscrea in the Mid\/North Hurling League on Monday evening last.<\/p>\n

It was mixed fortunes for our County players at the weekend in the All Ireland Championship.<\/div>\n
Rachel Maher started wing back at No 7 against Cavan in Round 1 of the Junior Championship. Unfortunately they were beaten by 1 point in a very close match. Rachel played a super game in defence. Next week the juniors travel to Mayo for Round 2.<\/div>\n

Grace O’Brien’s co-captained the Tipperary team who played Clare for the third time in recent weeks. With both sides very familiar with each other at this stage, the Round 1 match of the Senior Championship was a closely fought contest that ended in a 10 point draw. Grace started in midfield at No 8 and scored a point from play in the 1st half. Round 2 of the All Ireland Senior Championship is next Saturday away to Dublin.<\/div>\n

Nenagh and Kiladangan played out a competitive U16C County Shield final at Shalee on Monday evening. Unfortunately the result didn’t sway Nenagh’s way at the finish. It was a very close contest and there was only a goal in it in the closing minutes but Kiladangan struck another goal in this period to seal the win. Isabel O’Farrell and Laura Nagle were immense in the backs. Clodagh Spain and Eimear Brislane stood out with strong performances in midfield. Ella O’Brien was tireless in her efforts in the forwards and Grace Cleary had a great game scoring 8 points.<\/div>\n

The U8s travelled to Borrisoleigh on Saturday for the County blitz. Nenagh had two teams entered into the blitz and the girls enjoyed great games against teams from across North Tipperary. It was a great experience for these young girls who are improving every week and having great fun and making new friends while doing so.<\/div>\n
