Details announced for the up-coming medal presentation ceremony at the Abbey Court Hotel on Saturday, February 1st. Sadly, the club also mourned the loss of Jack Kennedy this week, a cherished supporter of the Blues.

\nSENIOR<\/p>\n

Medal Presentation:<\/strong> The Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g medal presentation night and dinner dance run in association with the Camogie club will take place in the Abbey Court Hotel on Saturday, February 1st. On the night the minor team, junior A team, minor Camogie team and junior B Camogie team will be presented with their respective medals. Tickets will be available from the club house at 8pm on Thursday, January 16th – alternatively tickets are available to buy from the organising committee. Tickets for this event are priced at \u20ac30. The organising committee: Josephine Mackey, Valerie O\u2019Brien, Catherine Grey, Geraldine Quinn & Paul Henry.<\/p>\n

Healthy Club Project:<\/strong> The Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g Healthy Club Project team will host a \u2018Well Being and Mental Health\u2019 night on Friday, January 24th at the Abbey Court Hotel (7.30pm). This event represents an opportunity for club members and the wider community to become informed on the many issues surrounding depression and mental health. Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g hopes to create awareness and offer hope in the areas of depression, loneliness and isolation. Speakers on the night include Conor Cusack, Tony Butler and S\u00e9amus Hennessy. In addition a number of organisations will be present with information.<\/p>\n

Congratulations:<\/strong> Congratulations to Daire Quinn and Tommy Heffernan who were members of the University of Limerick panel which defeated Waterford in the Waterford Crystal Cup on Sunday afternoon. Congratulations also go to Kevin Flynn who was a member of the NUIG team which defeated Laois in the Walsh Cup.<\/p>\n

Sympathy:<\/strong> Our sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Jack Kennedy who recently passed away. Jack was a former treasurer of the North Board, an officer of Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g, a life President of the club and a cherished supporter of the Blues. Jack was the beloved husband of the late Anna and loving father of Michael, Philip, Mary (Maher), Anne (Malone) and John and deeply regretted by his loving family, brothers Philip and Eamonn, sisters Ann and Betty, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, extended family, relatives and a wide circle of friends. Ar dheis d\u00e9 go raibh a anam d\u00edlis.<\/p>\n

Membership: <\/strong>Membership for 2014 is now due and can be paid to any club officer or online<\/a>. The cost of membership is priced at \u20ac25.<\/p>\n

The juvenile AGM took place on Wednesday, January 8th with the following returned as officers of the juvenile club – Chairman: Michael Geaney, Secretary: Anne Kennedy, Treasurer: Gerry Robinson, Assistant Treasurer: Cyril Griffin, Child Welfare Officer: Tommy Moylan, Registrar: Ger McCarthy, PRO: Catherine McTiernan, School Liaison Officer: Phil Hennessy, Equipment Officer: Shane Connolly, Handball: Eamonn Spillane.<\/p>\n

CAMOGIE<\/p>\n

Congratulations:<\/strong> The club wish to congratulate Shane Connolly and Paul Henry on their appointment as managers of the Tipperary intermediate Camogie team. The lads enjoyed great success with our junior B team in 2013 and we have no doubt they will be equally successful with the county.<\/p>\n

Registration:<\/strong> Our registration night is scheduled to take place on Friday, January 24th. No player will be allowed train or play with the club unless they are registered as they will not be covered by insurance.<\/p>\n

Sympathy:<\/strong> We extend our sympathy to the family and friends of the late Jack Kennedy. Jack was a stalwart of the club making a huge contribution to the development of \u00c9ire \u00d3g over the decades.<\/p>\n
