    Next week’s lotto Jackpot will be \u20ac9,800.  As our lotto continues weekly we thank everyone for your continued support of the lotto. If you have not yet joined our lotto or if your ticket has recently expired, please consider signing up again – it is our main fundraiser and contributes enormously to the day to day running of the club.<\/p>\n

    The lotto can either be played online using the link below or lotto tickets are available from any committee member – this includes the option to enter for multiple draws.<\/p>\n

    Our Community Friendly lotto was launched in June 2020 and since then we have donated \u20ac4,000 of our lotto funds to local charities. So when you play our lotto you are also supporting the charities in our community.<\/p>\n

    We will be making two further charity donations in the coming weeks to Carmh\u00e1 and Pieta House – these presentations will be made on 2nd May at the official opening of the new hurling wall.<\/p>\n

    Co Senior League<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Our seniors lost out by a point to Clonoulty last Sat evening in Round Three of the Co SHL. The score in the game was 1-19 to 1-18 with Killian Malone getting our goal in the second half. Our next game is against Borrisoleigh on Tues 26th April in Borrisoleigh.<\/p>\n

    \nNorth Junior Leagues<\/strong>
    \nBoth our junior groups are in action next weekend. The Junior As play Toomevara on Fri 22nd April at 7pm and the Junior Bs play Templederry on Sat 23rd April at 5pm \u2013 both games are in MacDonagh Park.<\/p>\n

    \nUnder 19<\/strong>
    \nWell done to our U19s who won their U19B North Football semi final on Monday last against Moneygall Clonakenny. The score in the game was 1-6 to 6 points with Jack McLoughlin scoring the goal. They will now Newport in the North Final on Sat next at 3pm in MacDonagh Park. Best of luck to the team and management in the final.<\/p>\n

    \nCondolences<\/strong>
    \nWe extend our sympathies to the O’Kennedy family on the sad passing of Michael O’Kennedy last weekend. Michael was a sub on the 1957 team who won the North Final and has been a great supporter of the club down through the years. His brother Paidi is currently one of our Club Presidents. There was a minutes silence for Michael before our Co League game on Sat evening and the club provided a Guard of Honour before the funeral mass on Tuesday. Ar Dheis D\u00e9 go raibh a anam.<\/p>\n

    \nOfficial Opening<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Nenagh Eire \u00d3g will officially open the new Hurling Wall and all-weather pitch area on Bank Holiday Monday, 2nd May. It will be officially opened by the GAA President Larry McCarthy at 2pm. This promises to be an action-packed day, where everyone from U6 to senior and people in the wider community will have the opportunity to visit the club facilities and partake in the entertainment and festivities. More details to follow, but make sure to keep the day free for what will be an historic event for our club.<\/p>\n

    Darkness Into Light<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Darkness into Light has asked Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g members\/supporters to volunteer as stewards for their annual walk. If you can help and be at the Scout’s Hall at 3.45am on May 7th, please text 086 0855165 and we will pass on your details.<\/p>\n

    Tipperary<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Congratulations to Sam O’Farrell and the Tipperary minors who won their second game in the Munster Minor Championship against Clare last week. They are now through to the Munster minor semi final.<\/p>\n

    Hard luck to Barry Heffernan and Jake Morris who were on the Tipperary team who lost out to Waterford last Sunday in Round One of the Munster Senior Championship.<\/p>\n

    Membership<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Membership for 2022 is now due and can be paid through Foireann.ie. Any queries on this please contact Enda Long at 087 221 3954. Membership can also be paid to Enda Long or any Committee member. With games now resumed for all groups, players should ensure that their membership is up to date.<\/p>\n

    National Clubs Draw<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The Club will be selling National Club Draw tickets over the next two weeks. This is a great draw with great prizes including a car, cash prizes and packages for the All Ireland Hurling & Football Finals. There are also Club specific prizes. This is a One Club fundraiser with tickets at \u20ac10 available through the senior, juvenile & camogie clubs. Please support this draw.<\/p>\n

    Easter Camp<\/strong>
    \nThe Nenagh Eire Og Gaelic Games Youth Academy, sponsored by Albany Home Decor & A Sportsmans Dream, hosted an Easter C\u00fal Camp last week. Pat McCormack, our academy coach headed up the camp which proved to be a resounding success with children having a great time. Thanks to Jake, Josh & Sam for dropping by to meet the children participating in the camp. More Academy events coming soon, keep an eye on this space.<\/p>\n

    \nGuess The Score Juvenile Club Fundraiser<\/strong>
    \nSincere thank you to all of the families who supported the Guess the Score Juvenile club fundraiser. Congratulations to Molly Hynes who correctly predicted the outcome of the Tipperary v Waterford match on Sunday last. Molly’s big brother James hurls with our Under 11 boys, her Grandad John and her Dad Jimmy both often help out with the under 11 group.<\/p>\n

    \nUnder 7<\/strong>
    \nThe Under 7 boys are having fun practicing their hurling skills on Saturday mornings on the astroturf from 10-11am. As always we’d love to see new faces of boys born in the years 2015\/16. For further information please contact Alan on 087-7518789.<\/p>\n

    \nUnder 9<\/strong>

    \nOur three under 11 teams played this week. On Thursday we played Silvermines in Dolla in a very exciting game. On Saturday we welcomed two Newport teams to the field. It was great to be back playing football matches and the boys really enjoyed them. They have Toomevara and Kiladangan next weekend. Training for hurling and football continue this week at the usual times
    \nNew players born in 2011 and 2012 welcome to give it a try. Contact 0874086439 for more details. training takes place every Tuesday – hurling, 6 – 7pm & Friday – football, 6 to 7pm. Please encourage any boys that would like to start football to come along Friday.<\/p>\n

    Congratulations to both of our U13 panels on winning their matches in the first of the knockout rounds on Tuesday night. Our C panel beat Ballina while our A panel beat Roscrea. Both groups now move on to the North semi finals.<\/p>\n

    Training on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday evenings unless we have a match.<\/p>\n

    Well done to James Heffernan and \u00c9anna Tucker who both lined out for Tipperary in the Primary Game at half time in the Tipp\/Waterford Munster Championship game on Sunday. <\/p>\n

    \nOur U15 hurlers had a great run in the Feile at the weekend. They came through their group games on Saturday and went on to play Arravale Rovers in the semi final on Monday where they unfortunately lost out by a point.
    \nTraining for this group continues on Tuesdays from 7-8 p.m and on Thursday evenings at 6pm.<\/p>\n

    Our senior girls played Knockavilla on Saturday morning in McDonagh Park. Some great performances from the Nenagh girls saw the game level with 5 minutes to go. However Knockavilla were more clinical with their finishing and scored two points in the dying minutes to clinch the victory. Final score 1.06 to 0.11.<\/div>\n
    While we missed out on the victory, this was a very encouraging performance and there are definite signs of improvement with this team.<\/div>\n

    We made the journey to Kilcommon on Wednesday evening to play Slieve Felim. The game was a very tight affair, swinging one way and then the other. Despite our girls dominating the 2nd half, Slieve Felim managed to get the scores at the right time to win by a single point.<\/div>\n

    We had mixed fortunes for our two u14 teams this week. <\/div>\n
    Our first team travelled to Drom on Thursday evening. We found ourselves 8 points down after a lacklustre first half, but came back fighting in the second half to win by one point. <\/div>\n
    Nenagh 2 played Kilruane 2 in Ardcroney on Saturday morning. We battled well throughout the game but Kilruane proved through strong for us. <\/div>\n
