Co Senior League<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the first round of the Co Senior League, which was played last Friday, we were beaten by Thurles Sarsfields on a scoreline of 2-25 to 1-14 \u2013 Tommy Heffernan getting the Nenagh goal in the second half. We play Kilruane MacDonaghs in the second round \u2013 this is due to be played on the weekend of 2nd<\/sup>\/3rd<\/sup> April.<\/p>\n

North Junior Leagues<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first round of the North Junior League takes place next weekend where we play Kilruane MacDonaghs  – the game takes place on Sat at 4.30pm in Cloughjordan.<\/p>\n

The other teams in the group are Borrisileigh, Roscrea, Kiladangan and Toomevara.<\/p>\n

The Junior B League starts on the weekend of 10th<\/sup> April \u2013 we play Silvermines in the first round in Dolla.<\/p>\n

The other teams in our group are Portroe, Kiladangan and Templederry.<\/p>\n

Medal Presentation<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 2020\/21 medal presentation night was held on Friday night last in the Hi B. A great crowd attended where medals were presented to the North Junior A Hurling Champions, North & County Junior B Football Champions and the 2020 North Junior C Champions. Thanks to Catherine McTiernan for organising everything for the night and to the HiB for hosting this event.<\/p>\n

Lotto<\/strong><\/p>\n

There was no winner of tonight’s lotto Jackpot. This week’s winning numbers were 8, 11, 13 & 25.<\/p>\n

If you have not yet joined our lotto or if your ticket has recently expired, please consider signing up again – it is our main fundraiser and contributes enormously to the day to day running of the club.<\/p>\n

    The lotto can either be played online using the link below or lotto tickets are available from any committee member – this includes the option to enter for multiple draws.<\/p>\n

    Our Community Friendly lotto was launched in June 2020 and since then we have donated \u20ac4,000 of our lotto funds to local charities. So when you play our lotto you are also supporting the charities in our community.<\/p>\n

    Our next nominated charity is Carmh\u00e1 and a further \u20ac500 from our Lotto funds will be presented to them in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

    Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g Gaelic Games Youth Academy<\/b> <\/div>\n
    We were delighted to have officially launched our Nenagh Eire Og Gaelic Games Youth Academy proudly sponsored by Albany Home Decor & A Sportsmans Dream. Juvenile club committee members visited the primary schools in Nenagh where they met with the principals of each school to speak about the Academy and invite all children to come along to Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g to join in the fun and learn some new skills. <\/div>\n
    The Academy will be running events in the coming weeks details of which will be shared on club social media so keep an eye out for details.<\/div>\n
    All new members to the club are welcome, training times for the various age groups are outlined below, contact the club social media sites with any questions.<\/div>\n

    Easter C\u00fal Camps<\/b><\/div>\n
    Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g will be running an Easter C\u00fal Camp. The camp takes place on Tuesday 12th, Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th of April. Camp will run from 10am until 1pm. Booking can be made online through the Tipperary County Board link https:\/\/tipperary.gaa.ie\/tipperary-gaa-easter-camp\/<\/a> . The camp costs \u20ac35 for the three days with each child receiving a football and sliotar. The camp is for children ages 6-13.<\/div>\n

    Coach Safeguarding Course<\/b><\/div>\n
    In order to be involved in coaching juveniles in any regard the requirements are:- to be Garda Vetted in the first instance & have your Safeguarding Certification completed in the second instance, no exceptions to these requirements.     Under 7<\/b><\/div>\n
    Our U7 boys continue their 8 week block of fundamental movement games on the new Astroturf pitch. We would love to see new faces, so any boys born in the years 2015\/2016 please come along Saturday mornings at 9am to the Nenagh Eire \u00d2g GAA Complex. No helmet or hurls are required and it’s a great way for the boys to burn off some of that Saturday morning energy! For further information please contact Alan on 087-7518789.     The older boys played Newport last week in Newport and came away with a win, congratulations boys, very well done. Next Saturday the younger boys are away to Shannon Rovers at 12 o clock, best of luck to the boys involved. Training for this group continues Tuesday evenings at 5.30pm and Saturday afternoons at 3pm.<\/div>\n

    Training for this group continues on Tuesdays from 7-8 p.m and on Thursday evenings at 6pm.<\/div>\n

    U17\/19 training continues every Monday and Wednesday at 6.50 pm. We are getting a great turnout and encourage anyone who was on either of these squads before to come back and join us again. <\/div>\n

    Tipperary<\/strong>
    \nIn the Littlewoods Senior League, Galway played Tipperary in Ballinasloe and Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3gs Grace O’Brien started in midfield. A pointed free in the 8th minute of injury time gave Galway a 1 point victory over Tipperary. The final score was 0-13 to 1-11.  A huge talking point was the fact the Tipperary were reduced to 14 players with a controversial red card on the 15 minute of the game  and therefore played 55 of the 70 minutes with a player down. Tipperary most likely will finish second in the group.<\/p>\n

    Seniors<\/strong>
    \nIn round one of Tipperary Senior League Nenagh played Clonoulty away on Sunday. The girls got their league campaign off to a great start and beat Clonoulty 1-6 to 1-2.  For four of the girls it was a special day as they made their Senior debut for Nenagh. The four girls, pictured below, were Jennifer Casey, Kerrie Howard, Eimer Brislane and Laura Nagle.<\/p>\n

    \nThe U16s next game is at home to Gortnahoe on 30th March at 7:00pm. Training continues on Monday and Thursday evening 6:00 – 7:00 pm.<\/p>\n

    \nThe U14s will play 2 challenge matches this week. First up is Kilruane in Ardcroney in Monday evening at 6pm. On Friday evening we play Portroe in Portroe at 6pm.

    \nU12s are training every Thursday from 7-8pm. New girls always welcome.<\/p>\n
