Tipperary Draw<\/strong><\/p>\n

The club had a great return from the March Tipperary Draw held last Friday night with six winners on the night. Congratulations to John Phelan who won \u20ac2,000, Adam Gratton and John Kennedy who won \u20ac500 each and Matt Givens, Matt Lillis and Marion Ryan who each won \u20ac200. The next draw takes place on Friday 8th<\/sup> April.<\/p>\n

Official Opening<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Official Opening of our new Hurling Wall and Astroturf will take place on Bank Holiday Monday, 2nd<\/sup> May. GAA President Larry McCarthy will attend to officially open this great facility and events are being organised on the day to coincide with this \u2013 details to follow on this.<\/p>\n

Co Senior League<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our first game in the Co Senior League is against Thurles Sarsfields and will take place on Friday 18th<\/sup> March at 2pm in MacDonagh Park.<\/p>\n

The North Junior Leagues are due to start at the end of the month, details of this to follow.<\/p>\n

Lotto<\/strong><\/p>\n

There was no winner of tonight’s lotto Jackpot. This week’s winning numbers were 3, 11, 16  26.<\/p>\n

If you have not yet joined our lotto or if your ticket has recently expired, please consider signing up again – it is our main fundraiser and contributes enormously to the day to day running of the club.<\/p>\n

    The lotto can either be played online using the link below or lotto tickets are available from any committee member – this includes the option to enter for multiple draws.<\/p>\n

    Our Community Friendly lotto was launched in June 2020 and since then we have donated \u20ac4,000 of our lotto funds to local charities. So when you play our lotto you are also supporting the charities in our community.<\/p>\n

    Our next nominated charity is Carmh\u00e1 and a further \u20ac500 from our Lotto funds will be presented to them in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

    Croke Cup semi final<\/strong><\/p>\n

    MacDonagh Park was the venue for the Croke Cup semi-final on Saturday last between St Josephs, Tulla and St Kieran\u2019s College, Kilkenny. This was one of the largest crowds in MacDonagh Park for a long time and we thank everyone who helped out on the day to ensure that everything ran smoothly.<\/p>\n

    Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g Gaelic Games Youth Academy<\/strong> <\/p>\n

    We are very excited to announce that we will be launching in March ’22 the Nenagh Eire Og Gaelic Games Youth Academy. <\/b>We are also very pleased to announce that local businesses Albany Home Decor and Sportsman’s Dream will both be coming on board as proud sponsors of the new Academy. This is a hugely exciting project and we are thrilled for all of the children involved with Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g who will derive immense benefit from the Academy.     <\/div>\n

    As the first event in our Nenagh Eire Og Gaelic Games Youth Academy,<\/b> sponsored by Albany Home Decor and Sportsman’s Dream, we are running a coaching workshop for any coaches or potential club coaches from the senior hurling, juvenile club and camogie club. Former National Director of Hurling Paudie Butler will host the workshop on Tuesday 8th March at 7.00 till 8.30 on the club astroturf. The workshop is a hurling wall workshop as we look to maximise coaching expertise on our wonderful new facility. Parents, children and coaches are all welcome to attend.<\/div>\n

    Plans are underway to run Easter Camps, we will be releasing details in the coming weeks on this so watch this space.<\/p>\n

    Under 7<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Our U7 boys continue their 8 week block of fundamental movement games on the new Astroturf pitch. We would love to see new faces, so any boys born in the years 2015\/2016 please come along Saturday mornings at 9am to the Nenagh Eire \u00d2g GAA Complex. No helmet or hurls are required and it’s a great way for the boys to burn off some of that Saturday morning energy! For further information please contact Alan on 087-7518789. Free tea\/coffee\/treats for parents during the training session.<\/p>\n

    Under 9<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Training continues on Saturday mornings at 10am for any boys born in 2013 and 2014. New boys are always welcome to join. Contact Cathal on 086 080 6460 or the club social media sites with any queries. Free tea\/coffee\/treats for parents during the training session.<\/p>\n

    Under 11<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Under 11 boys hurling training takes place every Friday at 6.00 on the Astroturf. New players born in 2011 and 2012 are welcome to give it a try. Contact 0874086439 for more details.<\/p>\n

    Training for this group continues Tuesday evenings at 5.30pm and Saturday afternoons at 3pm.<\/p>\n

    Training for this group continues on Tuesdays from 7-8pm and on Thursday evenings at 6pm.<\/p>\n

    Under 17<\/strong><\/p>\n

    U17\/19 training continues every Monday and Wednesday at 7 pm. We are getting a great turnout and encourage anyone who was on either of these squads before to come back and join us again. <\/p>\n

    We played our first championship game of the season away to Drom on Saturday morning. After a hard-fought battle, we came away with a one point victory. <\/div>\n
