AGM<\/b><\/div>\n
The Annual General Meeting of Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g Hurling and Football Club will be held on Thursday, December 9th, 2021, at 8pm in The Abbey Court Hotel (subject to Covid Regulations\/situation at the time, this may change to a Zoom meeting). Mask wearing and Covid Certificate\/Certificate of Recovery are mandatory as per GAA guidelines for meetings. The Nomination and Motion forms have been sent to members. Please contact the club secretary on secretary.nenagheireog.tipperary@gaa.ie<\/a> or 086 0855165 to request a hard copy of the form.<\/div>\n
Forms are also available on the club website and must be returned by this Thursday, 25th Nov.<\/div>\n

Junior B Football<\/b><\/div>\n
The Co Junior B Football Final will take place next Sunday, 28th Nov, at 12.30pm in Borrisileigh. Our opposition will be known on Tuesday night when Aherlow take on Grangemockler in the second semi final. Best of luck to our players and management team on Sunday.<\/div>\n

The semi finals of the North U21 Championship will take place on the weekend of 4th\/5th Dec – the draw will be made on Tuesday night for these games with fixtures to follow.<\/div>\n

Clothes Collection Fundraiser<\/strong><\/div>\n
Over the weekend a clothing bank was installed inside the main entrance of MacDonagh Park. This will be a fundraiser for the club where bags of clean clothing, towels, sheets etc. can be dropped off. It is outlined on the container what type of clothing etc is acceptable. Please keep this Clothes Bank in mind if you are looking to offload unwanted clothing – you will also be supporting Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g when you do this!<\/div>\n

Under 11<\/strong><\/div>\n

The curtain was drawn on the Under 11 boys season last week with a final session of fun filled games and laughter.<\/div>\n
\u00c9ire \u00d3g stars Barry Heffernan and Shane Hennessy were kind enough to attend and hand out some goodies to the boys at the end of the session. Thanks to both gentlemen for their time on the night. <\/div>\n
Sincere thanks to our fabulous Covid officer’s Claire and Eileen who kept everyone safe and aligned to guidelines right throughout the season. <\/div>\n
Behind every hurling & football season are a group of coaches who look after the children and ensure they are developing their skills while enjoying being part of the set up, thanks to Niall, Kieran, Cyril, Darragh, Willie and all the parents who helped out during the season.<\/div>\n
Best wishes to the boys going up to U13 in 2022, we look forward to welcoming boys up from U9 in 2022 and we have no doubt that the boys who will be second year under 11 will be excellent role models for the younger boys joining us in the next season.<\/div>\n
If any boy has a friend or school pal who would like to come along and try out hurling or gaelic football drop Niall a text or send a message to the club social media sites.<\/div>\n

CAMOGIE NEWS<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n

Camogie AGM<\/strong><\/div>\n
The Camogie AGM took place online last Thursday and the Chairman, Tom Boland, opened the meeting by welcoming everyone in attendance.<\/div>\n
His main message was that after what has been a rollercoaster year with regard to Covid and our health system and all that goes with it, we were very lucky to be involved in an outdoor sport all the way through. The fact that we have had no outbreaks in our club speaks volumes of the great work our various Covid supervisors have done all year long. It is important to recognize the overall Eire Og club set-up in this regard, as the club committee took decisions e.g. to close the complex when case numbers were high in the schools. He thanked the coaches and parents for diligently complying with our Covid protocols. <\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
The Chairman reflected on the year and the various developments across the club. He mentioned the success of the Under 12s reaching the County Finals, with one team returning home County champions, the huge numbers attending at Under 6s, and the U16s reaching the County Semifinal. He concluded by thanking the Senior Management Team of Greg Browne, Pat McCormack and Caitriona Morris for all their work during the year. Pat and Caitriona have both decided to step away and the club wishes them both well in their future endeavours. Caitriona has volunteered for 11 years with the senior team, as well as various roles on the committee, and she will be sorely missed.<\/div>\n
The meeting concluded with the committee looking forward to 2022 with great optimism. We will return to having a minor team in next year\u2019s championship, hopefully two u14 teams and two u12 teams. We have a coach lined up to go into the convent school and will work with the Convent secondary school to avail of the use of their pitch again.<\/div>\n
The Chairman emphasised that these are the building blocks required in order to increase the numbers of girls playing camogie in Nenagh.<\/div>\n

The girls had their final training session of 2021 last Thursday. Under the management and supervision of Cyril Bailey and Darragh Quinn, with help from Brian Nolan also all year, the girls have come on leaps and bounds. Thanks to Nessa Kelly, Catriona Cleary and Sinead Ryan who helped out with Covid and first aid. The year was very enjoyable and we look forward to welcoming the girls back in the New Year.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
