Senior<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hard luck to our seniors who were defeated by Kilruane on Sunday last in the first round of the Co Championship. The score in the game was 1- 26 to 2- 21,  Mikey Heffernan and Pearse Morris getting the two late goals. We now play Roscrea in round two the weekend after next.<\/p>\n

Junior<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our Junior As had a great win over Roscrea in Round Two of the North Championship on Friday last. The score was 2-28 to 3-12 with Cian O Farrell and Killian Malone getting the goals either side of half time. The Junior As now play Borrisoleigh on Friday evening in Roscrea at 6.30.<\/p>\n

Our Junior Bs will play Ballina in their final group game next weekend. The game is fixed for Saturday evening at 5pm in Ballina.<\/p>\n

Lotto<\/strong><\/p>\n

There was no winner of tonight’s lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 2, 23, 25 & 26. The 3 x \u20ac50 lucky dip winners were:<\/p>\n

    Lotto Donation<\/strong><\/p>\n

    We recently donated \u20ac500 to the Nenagh Rape Crisis Centre – this is our fifth \u20ac500 charity donation as part of our Community Lotto which was launched last year. Our next chosen charity is the Children\u2019s Ark Paediatric Unit in University Hospital, Limerick and this donation will take place at the end of the current ten week cycle.<\/p>\n

    We extend our sympathies to the family of Dolores O’Sullivan who passed away over the weekend. Dolores’ daughter Eileen Kennedy is the club’s children’s officer and her son in law John is a mentor with the juvenile club.<\/p>\n

    The Under 7 boys had a hurling blitz against Silvermines in Nenagh on Saturday morning last and a great morning was had by all. Training continues on Tuesday evenings 6-7pm for the next couple of weeks and Saturday mornings 10-11am. New faces are always welcome!<\/p>\n

    Under 9<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Our Under 9 stars hosted Durlas \u00d3g on Saturday morning in MacDonagh park in the beautiful warm Autumn sunshine. Our boys have developed their skills and ability really impressively over the summer and this was very evident during Saturday’s blitz as spectators were treated to three very competitive and entertaining games.<\/p>\n

    Well done to the Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g boys, who were all fantastic. Thank you very much to Durlas \u00d3g for making the trip over to Nenagh and providing great opposition. Thanks to the older \u00c9ire \u00d3g boys who stood in goals to make the numbers work, Evan, Robbie and Senan, thanks boys.   <\/p>\n

    Hurling training continues Tuesday 6-7pm and Saturday 10-11am with football training on Wednesday 5.30-6.30pm. Great to see new boys joining who are always more than welcome.<\/p>\n

    Under 11<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Our Under 11 hurlers played Newport in Nenagh on Sunday morning. Three teams from each club had great battles between them. Thanks to Newport for coming in. Great to see such big numbers playing. We are always looking for new players. If anybody wishes to start they can contact us on 0874086439 or through the club social media pages.<\/p>\n

    Training continues Tuesday & Friday for hurling at 6pm and Wednesday for football at 5.30. <\/p>\n

    Under 13<\/strong>  <\/p>\n

    Our Under 13 D team will play Toomevara on Tuesday evening in Nenagh at 7pm. The Under 13 A team played Murroe Boher last Friday evening in a highly entertaining challenge match in Murroe. Many thanks to Murroe Boher and well done to the boys on a very good performance. Training continues Wednesday and Friday evenings with knock out commencing the following week.<\/p>\n

    Under 15 <\/strong><\/p>\n

    Our Under 15 footballers took part in this year’s Feile Peil on a scorching Saturday afternoon. The competition opened on a positive note as the boys beat the favorites Ardfinnan in our first match by four points. Unfortunately, we went down to a very physical Knockmealdown side in our second match. Although all three teams finished with a win each, \u00c9ire \u00d3g were eliminated on goals scored. All in all two great performances from the boy’s who represented their club with great skill and endeavor.<\/p>\n

    Training will continue on Tuesday and Thursday in preparation for the knockout stages of the competition.<\/p>\n

    Under 17<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Training continues each Monday, Wednesday and Friday with the knockout stages beginning in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

    Goalkeeping Training<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Goalkeeping training commenced with Shane Hennessy last week and was very well received. Any player with an interest in developing their skills in this position please let your coach know in order to be included in the goalkeeping sessions.<\/p>\n

    Club Development<\/strong>
    \nWork on the new hurling wall is progressing very well. Any remaining donations can be paid over to your fundraising representative. Any remaining tax forms associated with your donation should be given to your fundraising representative along with detail of the names you wish to have included on the club development jigsaw wall.<\/p>\n

    \nThe lotto has always been one of our main fundraisers and with our current club developments it is of great importance to us now that everyone continues to row in behind our lotto and we continue to increase the Nenagh Eire Og online club lotto subscriptions.     Grace O’Brien and her Tipperary teammates battled to the bitter end against Galway on Sunday in the All Ireland Semi Final at Croke Park. Final score 1-13 to 0-12.<\/div>\n
    Well done Grace on a great season with Tipperary and good luck on returning to the Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g Senior Camogie team as their championship begins in earnest in the coming weeks.<\/div>\n

    Eire Og seniors are training regularly 3 times per week with several challenges over the past few weeks. With the championship due to start on 18th September the management is asking all our panel to make a special effort to get to training.<\/div>\n

    A busy week for u12s as we had 2 games for our ever-improving Nenagh 2 and one for Nenagh 1.<\/div>\n
    Nenagh 2 played Ballina in a very exciting game on the front field on Thursday evening. Great defending and some fine forward play ensured a win for our girls. <\/div>\n

    On Friday evening Nenagh 1 travelled to Borris-Ileigh to play their final group game. The girls gave a great battling display only to come up short against a very fine Borris team. <\/div>\n
    The following evening Nenagh 2 were on the road again, this time to Boherlahan. This was a very organised and skilful Boherlahan team. We didn’t win, but our girls stood strong and gave it their best.<\/div>\n
    Training for all u12s at 6pm on Monday evening on the front field.<\/div>\n

    U10 girls play Kildangan this Thursday. Training continues Mondays and Thursdays. New girls always welcome.<\/div>\n

    U8s played brilliantly against teams from Toomevara and Burgess Duharra on Thursday evening. Next Sat morning we host the next round of the County Blitzes.<\/div>\n
