U19 Hurling<\/strong><\/p>\n

Well done to our U19 team who put up a great performance last Wed evening to defeat Lorrha Rovers on a scoreline 4-22 to 2-9. Seth Shayanaweko scored two of the goals with Josh Keller and Ben West bagging the other two. The next game in our group is against Roscrea which takes place on Wed 7th<\/sup> July at 7.30 in Nenagh.<\/p>\n

Junior Hurling<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our Junior As played Borrisoleigh on Saturday evening in Mac Donagh Park with Borrisoleigh coming out on top on a scoreline of 2-13 to 1-22, Darragh Walsh and Craig Hilmi getting the Nenagh goals.<\/p>\n

The Junior As have a bye next weekend with the final group game against Roscrea on the weekend of 16\/17 July.<\/p>\n

The Junior Bs played their final group game on Monday evening where they lost out to Silvermines, 1-13 to 12 points. Having not reached the knockout stages of the League, this group will now prepare for the Junior B Championship which will begin in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

Senior Hurling<\/strong><\/p>\n

The third and final round of the Co Hurling League will take place next weekend where Thurles Sarsfields will provide the opposition. This game is fixed for next Sunday, 11th July, at 12 in MacDonagh Park. <\/p>\n

Please keep an eye on the club whatsapp groups and social media for all updates on fixtures and for ticket information for upcoming club and intercounty games.<\/p>\n

Co U20 Panels<\/strong><\/p>\n

Well done to Sean Phelan and Conor Hennessy who were both selected on the Tipperary U20 Hurling panel for 2021 and to Callan Scully who is on the U20 Football panel.<\/p>\n

    Under 5<\/strong> – Boys<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Training continues every Saturday morning from 10 – 11am. Anyone else interested in joining Under 5 training please contact Erica on 0868774496. Please make contact as soon as you can as an online health questionnaire needs to be completed before taking part. <\/p>\n

    For any parents who plan to take a coaching role with the Under 5 group must complete two steps, firstly Garda vetting must be completed and secondly an online Safeguarding course – details below.<\/p>\n

    Safeguarding course- https:\/\/learning.gaa.ie\/safeguarding<\/a> -this will bring you to it on the GAA site. It\u2019s a refresher course which covers this aspect of the requirement.<\/p>\n

    Under 7<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The Under 7 boys squad is continuing to grow with 38 boys involved now and always ready to welcome more new faces. Training continues on Tuesday evening, 6-7 pm and Saturday mornings from 10-11am. <\/p>\n

    Under 9<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The Under 9 boys hosted Newport on Saturday morning in MacDonagh park. The boys played very well and enjoyed the games. Under 9 hurling training continues Tuesday 6-7pm and Saturday 10-11am with football training on Wednesday 5.30-6.30pm. <\/p>\n

    We continue to have over 30 at each training. Please keep up the good attendance, matches are now underway and bring a great dynamic to developing these great youngsters. Great to see new boys joining who are always more than welcome.<\/p>\n

    Under 11<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The Under 11 hurling training continues each Tuesday and Friday at 6.00pm. Gaelic Football training is at 5.30pm on Wednesdays. New players are always welcome for either code. Great to see new faces joining over the last few weeks and we look forward to seeing more new boys.<\/p>\n

    Under 13<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Congratulations to the Nenagh Eire Og Under 13A football panel and their coaches on winning the Under 13A plate final. The boys played a very well fought and spirited match against Silvermines. Goals were the order of the day as both teams found the opposition’s net on several occasions. In the end Nenagh won out comfortably. Thanks to Silvermines for a well fought match.<\/p>\n

    Well done to this brilliant group of boys and their very dedicated coaches. It’s absolutely wonderful for the club and everyone involved to have successful evenings like this in the summer sunshine when all the preparation and hard work pays off.<\/p>\n

     Following their great win in the U15 Football Plate final last week training continues for hurling and football on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.<\/p>\n

    U17s continue to train diligently every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.<\/p>\n

    We hope to have two challenge matches in the coming week. We would also be delighted to welcome back any former member of this squad who would like to hurl or play football.<\/p>\n

    \u00c9ire \u00d3g Juvenile Club are planning a Swap Shop for \u00c9ire \u00d3g gear in July. All funds raised will go to The Children’s Ark Paediatric Unit at University Hospital, Limerick. <\/div>\n
    Families and players are asked to root out & wash any club gear that is no longer being used but still in good condition. <\/div>\n
    Gear for the Swap Shop should be handed into the club house on Thursday 8 July between 5:30-6:30pm.<\/div>\n
    Please attach a label stating the age group\/size on each item.<\/div>\n
    No boots or socks please.<\/div>\n
    The Swap Shop itself will take place on Thursday 15th July at \u00c9ire \u00d3g. More details to follow next week.<\/div>\n

    Two Munster Champions<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Congratulations to Tipperary on winning the Munster Intermediate Final against Cork at the weekend. Well done to Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g Camogie Senior Club players Caroline Browne and Sarah Quigley who played on the winning team. It’s Sarah’s second time winning a Munster title at this level having won the intermediate final in 2016 also.<\/p>\n

    Under 6s<\/strong><\/div>\n
    Training every Thursday for Under 6s from 6-7 in \u00c9ire \u00d3g. Assistance from parents is required and also Covid Officer volunteers are required. Please approach the mentors, Paul & Deirdre, on Thursday if you can assist. Great to see such large numbers at this age group and the girls are getting better each week learning the new skills and having fun!<\/div>\n

    Under 8s<\/strong><\/div>\n
    The Under 8s made the trip to Borrisoleigh for their first blitz of the season. Over 20 girls took part and had some great matches against Drom & Inch and Borrisoleigh. More blitzes will be arranged throughout the summer. No training this Monday and it resumes again on Thursday.<\/div>\n
    C\u00fal Camp starts on the 12th of July. For anyone who hasn’t booked a place on the camp but wishes to do so at this stage please contact 0874086439.<\/div>\n

    The Under 10s hosted Kiladangan in a challenge match on Saturday. Training continues Mondays and Thursdays from 6-7. Any one interested in joining up can come to one of these sessions and we’ll provide you with a free hurley!<\/div>\n

    Under 12s<\/strong><\/div>\n
    We had another busy week on the field, with Nenagh 1 pulling away in the final quarter to win comfortably against a good Moneygall side, while Nenagh 2 put up a great battle but ultimately lost out to a very strong Borris-Ileigh second team. We are seeing great improvements in this team as the weeks go on.<\/div>\n
    Both teams are back in action again this week. First up, Nenagh 2 play Kilruane 2 in Ardcroney at 6.30pm on Wednesday. Nenagh 1 welcome Portroe to McDonagh Park on Saturday at 12noon.<\/div>\n
    Training for all u12s at 7pm on Monday evening.<\/div>\n

    Our under 14 side travelled to Kilcoleman on Monday evening last to play Burgess. Despite playing with one less player for much of the game, a huge effort was put in by every one of the Nenagh girls. Burgess proved too strong for us and finished well to get the win.<\/div>\n
    Next up is another away trip, this time to Ballina on Wednesday evening. Details to follow.<\/div>\n

    Under 16s<\/strong> <\/div>\n
    Well done to the Under 16s who had a great start to their campaign when they defeated Drom and Inch on Monday night in Nenagh on a scoreline of 5-3 to 3-2.  Their next game is against Toomevara next Monday evening at 7.30 in Nenagh.<\/div>\n

    Seniors\/Minors<\/strong><\/div>\n
    Our senior squad played Drom on Friday night. Although beaten, our team put in a very credible performance with some very good individual displays and an ever improving team effort. Rachel Maher and Ruth Hassett were very strong in the backs: captain Zoe Grattan and Kristen Howard worked tirelessly at midfield while Eimer Ryan, Ciara McGrath and Alanna Morris were impressive in the forwards. The management were also very happy with the displays of the younger players who are learning their trade at senior level and are showing great promise. We continue to train on Tuesdays Thursdays and Sunday mornings. Our next match is against Annacarthy away on Friday night. <\/div>\n
