A full report on this game can be found here. On Saturday afternoon Burgess won their quarter-final in emphatic terms beating Lorrha-Dorrha 6-21 to 3-11. The four semi-finalists are: Burgess, Kildangan, Nenagh Éire Óg and defending champions Kilruane MacDonagh’s. The draw for the semi-finals is expected to take place on Monday evening, November 11th. Please keep an eye on the club website, Twitter and Facebook for a fixture update.

Dr Harty Cup: On Wednesday last Nenagh CBS lost to Rochestown College on a 1-10 to 4-7 scoreline in Cahir. Nenagh CBS return to Cahir on Wednesday, November 13th when they face Blackwater Community School.

CAMOGIE

Under-12: Our under-12s finished their year on Sunday last when they were beaten in the league semi-final by a superb Clonoulty-Rossmore outfit in The Ragg. The girls have had a wonderful year winning the under-12 championship and competing in numerous blitzs throughout the season. We wish to thank their management team of Greg Browne, Philip Shanahan, Pat Sheridan, Caitriona Morris and Mairead Long who so selflessly gave so much of their time to this team and all the players had great fun along the way.

Under-14: Our under-14 team finished their season on a high note winning the league final when they beat Newport on a scoreline of 1-6 to 0-1. Maeve Coffey scored Nenagh’s goal while Vanessa Ryan played a captain’s part throughout and collected the cup on behalf of her wonderful team mates. The club thanks all the mentors who gave so much to the girls namely Noel Coffey, Martin Ryan, Maeve Maloney and Catherine Kennedy.

Minor: Our minor team tested the hearts of all Éire Óg supporters in the county minor B championship final when they dramatically grabbed a draw from the jaws of defeat with a last second goal against Cashel in The Ragg. This was the first time the club ever played in a county minor decider and it looked as if the occasion had gotten to our players as we failed to turn up for the first half. It was all Cashel and they went into the break deservedly winning 1-8 to 0-2. Our girls were not going to give up easily and inspired by a Grace O’Brien goal they clawed their way back into the game and entering injury time there were three points between us. We never gave up and in the fourth minute of injury time O’Brien again goaled for as dramatic an equaliser as you are likely to ever see. It looks as if the replay will be on Sunday week, November 24th in The Ragg.

Presentation Night: All our successful teams from this year will be presented with their medals on Saturday, November 30th in The Complex. We look forward to seeing all our mentors, players and their parents there on the night.

JUVENILE

Coaches & Mentors: Nenagh Éire Óg is calling on those interested in becoming coaches and/or mentors to young players to make contact with the juvenile committee.
