The countdown is well and truly on to Sunday\u2019s Clean Ireland Recycling county senior hurling final – Paddy Power have made Loughmore-Castleiney 10\/11 favourites to beat Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g.<\/p>\n

On Sunday afternoon last in Semple Stadium, Thurles the \u00c9ire \u00d3g senior hurlers qualified for this year\u2019s Clean Ireland Recycling county senior final following an eight point win over Kildangan – final score: 1-17 to 0-12. Click here<\/a> for match report.<\/p>\n

The county final will take place on Sunday afternoon, October 13th in Semple Stadium, Thurles at 3.30pm against Loughmore-Castleiney. The referee for the senior final will be John McCormack (Knockavilla-Donaskeigh Kickhams). The game will be preceded by the intermediate county final between Ballina and Moyne-Templetuohy at 1.15pm. On the day the Loughmore-Castleiney team which won the county title in 1988 will be the honoured guests of the Tipperary County Board.<\/p>\n

Both stands will be open at Semple Stadium next Sunday and admission prices are: \u20ac15 for adults & \u20ac10 for OAPs and students. Tickets are on sale from Sheedy\u2019s Centra – supporters are encouraged to buy tickets in advance. <\/p>\n

The \u00c9ire \u00d3g team, led by captain Noel Maloney, have worked incredibly hard this year to represent themselves, their town and their club to the very best of their ability. All support would be greatly appreciated at Sunday\u2019s final. <\/p>\n

In all Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g have played in four county senior hurling finals – 2006 Toomevara 1-21 Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g 2-14, 1999 Toomevara 1-17 Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g 0-13, 1995 Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g 2-25 Boherlahan-Dualla 2-08, 1993 Toomevara 1-14 Nenagh \u00c9ire \u00d3g 1-13.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile Loughmore-Castleiney have played in three previous finals – 2007 Loughmore-Castleiney 0-22 Drom & Inch 0-13, 1988 (replay) Loughmore-Castleiney 2-07 Borris-Ileigh 1-8 (draw: 1-6 to 0-9), 1987 Cappawhite 1-17 Loughmore-Castleiney 2-13. <\/p>\n

There will be deferred coverage of the final on TG4 on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n
