GAA President Christy Cooney visited the Nenagh Eire Og club on Thursday the 30th Sept 2010 when he met with club officers and club members. Also present were county board chairman Barry O Brien together with officers of the North Board. Jim Nagle club chairman made a brief presentation covering current activities in the club which concluded with a question and answer session. A Civic reception was then held in the Town Council Chamber Offices to acknowledge the significant work of Christy Cooney as President of the GAA and to recognise the contribution made by the GAA in Nenagh.
