Under12a Hurling Final:  There was heartbreak for our u/12 team who lost the North Final by a point to Roscrea. This game was a great advert for juvenile hurling with great skill and commitment shown by both teams. Eire Og played against the wind in the first half and after ten minutes were ahead by four points to no score. However, Roscrea started to come more into the game and scored a good goal. They added two more goals and four points in the first half to leave them ahead by eight points at half time with a score line of Roscrea 3-4 Eire Og  0-5. Our lads started the second half with determined fashion and put the Roscrea backs under severe pressure.  Slowly we reduced the lead and with about ten minutes to go had drawn level having scored  three good goals. Things looked good for Eire Og at this stage but Roscrea scored a point from a free to go a point ahead. Our lads tried very hard to get the equaliser but were unable to do so and Roscrea held out for a great win.  Great credit must go to our team to the effort they put in in trying to win the final. Aaron Hogan made some great saves particularly in the second half. He had great support in the full back line in Gavin O Connor, Aodhan Geaney and Brian Flynn. Our half back line of Oisin Ryan, Andrew Coffey and John Cahalan also played solidly and as a result the backs prevented Roscrea from getting any goals in the second half. Our midfield pairing of Philip Hickey and Anthony Walsh together with our forwards Conor Ryan, Shane Hennessy, Jack Sheedy, Ben Banaghan, Adam Coady, Jack Molamphy and Adam Healy all played their part in a great game. Other members of the panel who played their part in getting to the final include: Brian Tuite,Craig Hilmi,  Adam Healy,  Niall O Gorman,  Dominic O Brien, Liam Maher,  Arron Duggan, Jack Kavanagh, Connie O Reilly, Mark Maher, Keelan Nevin,  Dylan Kennedy, Adam Carey. We wish Roscrea the best of luck in the county semi final. A speial thanks to Team Manager Eamon O Brien and to his selectors Phil Hennessy, Christy Mc Loughlin and Robbie Ryan for the the time and effort they gave during the year.

This was a great game of football played with great determination and commitment shown by both teams.
Eire Og were first to score when Conor Ryan got a point after a great solo run. The lead did not last long as Inane Rovers started to play some good football and were rewarded with a goal. Alan Coady playing full forward for Eire Og was starting to get a lot of possession and soon converted the chances by scoring 1-1 to put Eire Og two points ahead. Inane replied with three points before half time to leave the half time score Eire Og 1-2 Inane Rovers 1-3.
The Eire Og team were soon level within a few minutes of the restart when Adam Healy got a great point. This was followed by another great point by Adam Coady to put Eire Og ahead by a point. The last quarter was very exciting and the Eire Og boys came under severe pressure but some great defending by our backs kept Inane scoreless in the second half. At the final whistle there was great jubilation when Oisin Ryan (captain) was presented with the Michael Mc Grath Cup. Hard luck to Inane Rovers who played so well on the night.
