Nenagh Éire Óg Summer Camp
The 2023 Nenagh Éire Óg Summer Camp took place last week and was a tremendous success with the children having a fantastic time playing fun skills games coupled with Gaelic games.
What better way to top off a great camp experience than with ice creams for all which were of course thoroughly enjoyed by the children and coaches.
Congratulations to Kyle Doran who was the winner of the signed Tipperary Jersey.
Thanks to all the coaches who gave up their holidays to volunteer during the camp. Thanks to Niall for co-ordinating the camp – it was a very well run camp, enjoyed by all and a great way to round off the summer holidays.

Nenagh Éire Óg and Ballyboden U11 groups
The boys then advanced to Croke Park where they were treated to a stadium tour and an opportunity to lift the Liam McCarthy at the podium, who knows, potentially the seed was sown…here’s hoping…. Thanks to all the coaches who organised and looked after the boys so well to ensure they had a day packed with the best memories.

Under 11s in Croke Park
Under 13 boys had another busy week. Our C team and D team were playing against Borrisokane and Roscrea. On Tuesday in Toomevara our third team played Roscrea’s second team. Both teams showed great skill and determination but Roscrea proved too strong with their ability to get vital scores. The D team now play Kiladangan this week in the plate semi-final – this game is in Puckane on Thursday at 7pm.
The C team played Borrisokane in Ballinderry on Wednesday. Borrisokane started well scoring some great points. Our boys were slow to settle but worked their way into the game. Our ability to score goals was the difference in the end, with Robbie O’Brien and James Hynes scoring our goals. The C team now progress to the semi-final playing Ballinahinch in Templederry on Wednesday at 7pm – best of luck to the boys.

Under 15s in action against Burgess in last weeks Preliminary Quarter Final
Our U17s lost out to Silvermines in the Preliminary Quarter Final on Monday last.
We wish Billy O’Brien, Jake Houlihan and Caylum Fogarty good luck as they line out for Tipperary in the U16 A & B panels as part of the All Ireland hurling semi-finals next weekend. Tipperary A will play Wexford and Tipperary B will play Cork.
Reach out on Social Media or contact 0879256514 for details.
Our U10s played some fantastic camogie against Ballina and Burgess on Thursday evening.
They then made the long trip to Kilcommon to play Newport, Clonoulty-Rossmore and Slieve Felim in our regional blitz Saturday. Super effort with over 30 girls in action.
Congratulations to the four Nenagh girls who represented Tipperary at the Orla McDonagh tournament over the weekend. The A team lost their semi-final to Offaly, but Lauren Grace and her B team won their section.
Well done to all.
We now face Burgess Duharra in our final group game on Wednesday evening at 6.30pm in McDonagh Park.
We were defeated in our first round of the FBD Championship this Sunday against a strong Silvermines team. Our team showed considerable resilience and skill throughout but were unlucky towards the latter stages of the game.
We look forward to our next round, away against Burgess in Kilcoleman on Sunday 27th August at 2pm.
