An exciting week ahead as our junior A Camogie team return to action and our under-16A hurlers are in semi-final action against Toomevara. Although our minor A hurlers lost out at the quarter-final stage last week the Éire Óg minor A Camogie team made a very encouraging start to their respective championship on Saturday. Our thoughts are with Shane Hennessy and the Tipperary minor hurlers this week as they prepare for Sunday’s All-Ireland final while we also salute our underage stars (and coaches) who adorned the inter-county stage with the Tipperary under-14, under-15 and under-16 teams last weekend.

The Blues lost an entertaining minor A quarter-final at a windy Puckane on Wednesday evening. The Éire Óg lads gave it everything, but in the end were defeated by an impressive Kilruane team.

Another exciting week for supporters of the Blues as Éire Óg beat Mullinahone in the final of the Dr Fogarty Cup. Nenagh Éire Óg were beaten by Roscrea in an entertaining affair at St Michael’s Park in Toomevara on Wednesday evening. A number of injuries and a little misfortune hampered the Blues’ efforts, but, thankfully, irrespective of this defeat John Manley’s men have successfully progressed to the knock-out stages of this year’s minor A hurling championship.

An exciting week ahead for supporters of the Blues – the junior A Camogie team make their championship debut on Sunday and the minor hurlers play Roscrea on Wednesday evening in a crucial contest. Also on Wednesday evening the under-13 Camogie team are in county final action, on Sunday the junior B hurlers face Toomevara and on Monday next the under-16 hurlers take on Borris-Ileigh. And, last, but not least, the Éire Óg senior hurlers take on Mullinahone on Friday in Templetouhy in the final of the Clean Ireland Recycling County Senior Hurling Challenge Cup.
